Officine Panerai, the pioneer of the "big, thick watch" trend.
Recently, new models with smaller case sizes and thinner cases have been appearing one after another, but I still love the rugged Panerai of the past (laughs).
Today we will introduce you to a Panerai from the good old days. Luminor Submersible Chronograph/PAM00187 , a 2004 special edition model produced in a worldwide limited run of 1,000 units .
This chronograph diver's watch has a rugged, unassuming bezel and a burnt tritium dial that gives it an extremely cool look.
The luminous point burn is also intense! The extra-large 47mm case and sturdy crown guard make a huge impact.
The case is approximately 19mm thick. It is equipped with a helium gas release valve on the side of the case, the chronograph push buttons are screwed in, and it is waterproof to 1000m, which is professional diver's specification.
It's a big, chunky watch at this thickness. The sturdy case back is engraved with the serial number G, representing the year 2004, and the limited edition number.
The rubber strap is also thick! This is a used item, but the rubber is in very good condition.
Accessories include box, warranty card, special edition scroll, instruction manual, chronometer certificate, tools, replacement strap, and box key.
As a bonus, two Manifatture Firenze belts are included. A big, chunky chronograph with a cool tritium luminous finish.
This is a heavy model that is recommended for those with sturdy arms.
It's been a while since I last got my hands on it, and it has a very old-fashioned feel to it. This model is really cool!
If you are looking for a "big, thick" diver's watch from the good old days , please consider this one.
