El Primero-equipped Daytona "Ref. 16520"
16520 is 200 Taki, 225 Taki, Porcelain, Step/Floating, 4 Line,
These are popular models with unique designs that will appeal to enthusiasts, including the inverted 6 dial, Patrizio, Brown Eye, A number, and P number.
The model we are introducing this time is the earliest Ref. 16520, which has some attractive features.
First, let's look at some of the unique features of the early model!
MK2 bezel "225 Taki" bezel
Pay attention to the mark between "200" and "300".
The scale on the MK3 bezel and later will only be "240",
The MK2 bezel has two markings, "225" and "250".
This is a very rare early bezel commonly known as "225 Taki".
MK2 Dial "4 Lines"
The 5-line English notation has disappeared from "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED"
The initial dial had four lines of text.
Like the MK1 dial, this is a rare dial that is very rarely seen.
Personally, I love the cool letter "E" in the ROLEX logo!
"Inverted 6" Dial
At 6 o'clock, the number "6" on the 12-hour counter is inverted to look like a "9".
This is an early dial produced up to the S number, known as the "reverse 6" or "inverted 6".
Due to the characteristics up to the S series, the MK1 dial/floating and MK2 dial/4 line will always be "inverted 6".
Single buckle
The single buckle is also an essential feature of this early model.
This particular one has a clasp code of "P4", which is slightly later,
It is equipped with a bracelet that is close to the L model.
Kamaboko Case
The kamaboko case is also a feature of the early models!
Can you see that the early models have a thick case?
The kamaboko case gives off a very rugged impression which is very appealing.
The condition is good, although there are some scratches from use.
Overall it's a solid piece with a good overall impression.
*There is a crown watermark on the glass.
The middle case is in good condition with no excessive finishing.
The bracelet is slightly wrinkled, but is in good condition.
The luminous material is all tritium. Early tritium hands are rare!
The dial is in good condition.
You have a good look!
It's cool!!
Wrist shot!!
The combination of the instantly recognizable 4-line dial and the subtle 225mm bezel
This is an extremely cool and stylish piece!
The early model of the MK2 bezel x MK2 dial "Ref.16520"
It's really tempting to have an early model with such wonderful rare features.
While the availability of normal single tritium units is also decreasing,
Even if you search, it's hard to find the earliest specimens!
The sales price is also very attractive!!
Customers looking for a rare El Primero-equipped Daytona,
Please consider this.
