The first Explorer II "Ref. 1655" manufactured from 1971 to 1983
This is a very popular model that exudes the retro atmosphere that only a vintage model can offer.
The one we are introducing this time is one manufactured around 1979.
The dial is a period-appropriate "MK4 dial . "
The lettering is very similar to the MK5 dial,
What makes it stand out is that the letter "O" in "OYSTER" is oval-shaped!
The MK4 dial is surprisingly rare and hard to find.
The dial has slight scratches that can be seen with a magnifying glass,
Overall, it is in good condition.
The MK4 dial now reads T SWISS<25 T.
The index luminous material is also in excellent condition with no signs of wear!
The glow in the dark effect is also nice.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The luminous hands are also in very good condition.
The bezel is an MK3 that fits onto an MK4 dial.
Compared to the MK1 and MK2, the top of the number "2" is gentler!
This is a rare bezel with a very short production period.
As the bezel is the part that determines the face of the watch, its condition is extremely important, but this particular one is in excellent, crisp condition!
The condition of the case and bracelet is also excellent!!
There are some small scratches due to age,
This is a high quality non-polished specimen!
The middle case is in the condition you see!
This is a great case that is thick and maintains its original shape!
The rug legs are thick and sturdy, making it very impressive!
The edge lines are also in great condition!!
The fine hairline looks great too!
There is no sagging around the side hole either!!
This is definitely a horn-shaped lug foot!!
It's rare to find a four-figure model in this condition!
The bracelet also matches the clasp code "VC".
The crisp bracelet is in top condition with absolutely no wrinkles!
This is a wonderful model with an irresistible retro feel!
Wrist shot!!
This is a rare specimen of excellent quality!!
Enjoy the impressive cracking case!
