No. 1773 High-year model R number! Excellent example! Introducing the Vintage Explorer 1016 All Tritium!

Today we have a vintage Explorer, a late model R number.

The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990
This is an R-number 1016, a later model year.

There is also the E series, which is produced in extremely limited numbers.
The R and L numbers are popular model years that are nearing the end of production.

The dial is the final dial manufactured between 1986 and 1989.
A well-balanced and popular dial!

The dial condition is in good condition even with a magnifying glass.

The index luminous material is also in perfect condition.

It seems that older models are less susceptible to tritium burns,
As expected, the luminous glow on this one is quite subtle.

The luminous material is all tritium.
While many needle luminous watches inevitably deteriorate over time,
This specimen is in excellent condition.

The case and bracelet are in good condition with some minor scratches from use.
There are no noticeable scratches,
This is a high-quality specimen that I would recommend to those who value individual pieces.

The middle case is in the condition you see here!
This is a very impressive case without any sense of excessive thinness.

The edge lines and hairlines of the lug feet also look nice.

Although it is a high-year model of the Ref.1016,
It's rare to find a model in such good condition more than 30 years after production!

There are some small scratches on the side of the case,
It is in relatively good condition!!

The bracelet with the same date and clasp code "M4" is

It's in great condition with no wrinkles!

This particular one has a bracelet number on the buckle.
This is a rare type engraved with 78660.
