The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.

This vintage Explorer has undergone various specification changes over its long production period.

The one that arrived this time is an early circle mirror dial, which is rare.

This particular watch features an early mirror dial, with a track-like minute circle printed along the outer edge of the dial.
It is called a "chapter ring," "circle mirror," or "MM dial,"
and these mirror dials were produced until around 1963.

It seems that mirror dials have become less common recently,
and among them, the circle mirror is a rare dial that we don't often get in stock.

The circle mirror dial comes in a variety of types,
but this particular one is an early dial.

The dial condition shows age-appropriate deterioration, but
it is a mirror dial that allows you to enjoy very natural aging.

Although it's difficult to convey well in photos,
this is an incredibly cool piece where the dial and luminous material have aged over time, yet
a subtle luster remains.

The luminous material is in good condition, with no noticeable chips.

The condition of the luminous hands is also good.
The colors of the indices and luminous material match perfectly!!

The condition shows minor scratches consistent with its age,
but it is a solid piece for one manufactured around 1960!

The case condition is also good, and it has not been overly polished!

This rivet bracelet is essential for a mirror dial!

The buckle is a crown rivet buckle!
It has a great vintage feel!
The clasp is a later rivet bracelet with a 69.3 year mark.

The bracelet is in good condition, maintaining its beautiful state with no noticeable stretch.

The gold lettering shining on the aged mirror with remaining luster makes
this a supremely cool piece!!
It's hard to find a circle mirror like this.
