It was produced from around 1980 to around 1988.
Second generation Submariner Date/Ref. 16800.
While inheriting the basic design from the original Submariner Date/Ref. 1680,
The windshield has been changed from plastic to sapphire glass.
It also has a unidirectional rotating bezel and a quick-change date function.
This model is now even more practical.
The model that has arrived this time is the early model "borderless" model.
The Ref.16800 is divided into early and late models with no rim on the index and with a metal rim. The later model with a rim was introduced around 1984.
The early model has a matte dial, giving it a more vintage feel!
The dial condition of this watch is excellent.
It is in good condition even when viewed through a magnifying glass.
The index luminous material is also beautifully illuminated.
It's rare to come across a rimless dial in such good condition.
The luminous hands will naturally deteriorate over time,
The color of the index luminous material matches perfectly!
The luminous points are also nicely burnt and look cool!
The original insert, with its black color still intact,
Combined with the burnt tritium, the atmosphere is outstanding!!
The condition is overall there are scratches from use,
The case and bracelet are in good condition!!
The middle case is in the condition you see here!
It's a sturdy case and doesn't feel overly thin!
The grooveless buckle has clasp code "F" and is date-matching!
There is almost no fraying of the bracelet!

It is surprisingly difficult to find a Ref. 16800 that meets all these criteria!
