During the long manufacturing period, various specification changes have been made.
Vintage Explorer.
This is a popular model with a wide variety of dial variations.
The item we have in stock this time is the early matte dial/MK1 manufactured around 1968.
The MK1 dial has a crown mark in a font that resembles a frog's leg.
The dial is called "Frogfoot."
This MK1 dial,
This is a rare dial with rare features that are different from regular dials.
This is a comparison photo with Ref. 1016/R (left).
What do you think?
It's the same Ref. 1016, but it looks completely different.
The one shown here (right) has thick luminous indexes at 3, 6, and 9.
It features an adorable shape and a rare dial commonly known as "mega fat."
Even so, the thickness is completely different.
Some of the later L series also have dials with fat fonts,
The MK1/Mega Fat is said to be the thickest luminous material among the Ref. 1016 models.
This fat, bloated 3-6-9 index.
The numbers are about to collapse (laughs).
It's a cute dial with a vintage feel.
The dial condition is very good,
It is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or stains.
The index luminous material has slight chipping and discoloration,
It has a beautiful cream color and is an individual with a great atmosphere.
The needle luminescence has been corrected, but the atmosphere is not particularly affected.
The condition is good, there are scratches on the case and bracelet,
Overall condition is good.
The middle case has a slightly polished feel,
It is very sturdy.
The Swiss rivet bracelet is stamped with the year 70.
It will be within the range of slight difference.
The bracelet is in very good condition with only slight creasing.
It's great to have a bracelet in such good condition!
Wrist shot!!
I can't get enough of those plump 3, 6 and 9!!
It's a tasteful dial.
