The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989.
The model introduced today is an R-serial, which is a late-model 1016.
The R-serial, produced near the end of the model's production run, is a popular item that always sells quickly at our store!

The dial is an MK5, characterized by its sharp logo.
It's a dial appropriate for its age.

The matte black dial is in excellent condition!
Late-model pieces like this are relatively easy to find in such good condition, so they are highly recommended!

The luminous material is all tritium.
Both the hands and indexes have evenly aged to a cream color.
The luminous material on the hands is in clean condition with no cracks visible even under a loupe.

The dial condition is appealing, but
the case and bracelet are also in good condition!

Although there are some minor signs of wear,
the case is in good condition with no excessive polishing!

The lugs are thick and have sharp edges, indicating a strong, unpolished case.

The buckle clasp code is "M5."

The bracelet, matching the era, is in good condition with only slight stretch!

Wrist shot!
Its captivating charm lies in its exquisite size and timeless design!
It always looks cool!
