The third generation hand-wound Daytona "Ref. 6263" manufactured from around 1969 to around 1988

This is the final model of the hand-wound Daytona, and is equipped with the caliber "Cal. 727" which vibrates at 21,600 vibrations per hour.
The pusher is screw-locked, making this model highly waterproof.

Speaking of Ref. 6263, at the recent Phillips Hong Kong auction
A 1969 black lettering Paul Newman/Oyster Sotto/MK2 was up for auction!!

I was lucky enough to be able to take part in the preview,
I had a good look at it.

To be honest, the dial condition was not particularly good,
The atmosphere was excellent and very cool!

As a result, it was sold for 3,500,000 Hong Kong dollars.
The price was a high amount, amounting to just over 85 million yen including fees.

Considering the condition of the dial, it seems like it was sold at a very good price.

By the way, I also had the opportunity to see the 6265/Paul Newman/MK2!!

Although there is a lack of luminous material at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions,
The dial condition is very good.

It has a totally different feel to 6263/Paul and is really cool!

The winning bid was 3,000,000 Hong Kong dollars.
It was sold for a reasonable price of about 73.6 million yen including fees.

Now, back to the topic.
The model that has arrived this time is a high-year model manufactured around 1985 and has a popular black dial.
Overall, the parts are well-matched and this is a recommended item.

The dial is a big red dial with a black face.

The early models with no markings are also popular,
The red logo is really cool though.

The Black Letters/Big Red is a model that seems to be very popular!

The dial has aged due to its age, but
The atmosphere has not been compromised in any way, making this a piece that you can enjoy as a vintage model.

The surface of the black dial is in relatively good condition.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The hands are equipped with period-matching tritium hands.

I often see the needles replaced, so
Tritium hands are rare!

Although there are some missing parts in the index luminous material,
There are no visible repairs, and the luminous condition is relatively good.

The characteristic of the Ref. 6263 is that the plastic bezel is a period-matched "MK3 bezel."
The consistency is perfect.

The pusher is a "MK3 pusher" with a groove on the cylinder.
It is said to be a replacement pusher, but it is around the final model of the high-year model.
It will fit the MK3 pusher.

The condition of the case and bracelet is good, there are some small scratches due to use,
When I got it in my hands, I got the impression that it was a good one!!

The original middle case has a slightly polished look,
It is very sturdy.

The lug feet are in the condition shown! There is no excessive finishing at all!!

Clasp code is "O5"
This is a slightly later bracelet.

There is a very slight wrinkle, but the condition is good!

Wrist shot!!
The long-awaited big red dial with black letters has arrived!
The only word to describe it is cool!

Oyster manual winding Daytona with plastic bezel "Ref.6263"
The naturally aged big red dial gives this piece an outstanding look!
This is a model that hasn't been seen recently, but the market price has been steadily rising under the surface.
The overhaul has also been completed at our affiliated workshop!
