The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990

During the long manufacturing period, various specification changes have been made.

Today we have the L number, which is the final item.

There is also the E series, which is produced in extremely limited numbers.
The R and L numbers are popular model years that are nearing the end of production.

The dial is a "5-type dial"

This is the final dial produced between 1986 and 1990.
This popular dial features a sharp logo and a well-balanced design!

The dial remains in exceptionally clean condition even when viewed with a magnifying glass.
It's in what could be called perfect condition.

It seems that older models tend to have relatively little fading,
In this particular model, the tritium has turned cream.

The condition of the index luminous material is also excellent.

The condition is good, there are some scratches and small marks due to use,
This is a good, sturdy piece with a sturdy case and bracelet.

As you can see, the edge lines of the middle case are very clear!!

The hairline on the lug feet is also in good condition.

The buckle clasp code is "N5" which matches the era.
