Today I have some information about media costume collaboration and my favorite watch, part 3!!

Starting January 16, 2020! Broadcast on TV Asahi every Thursday at 9pm!
"Kagei and Kenji: 24 Hours at the Local Police Station and the District Public Prosecutor's Office" is a TV drama series starring Kiritani Kenta and Higashide Masahiro, depicting a local detective and a prosecutor from the District Public Prosecutors' Office, who would never cross paths, clashing with each other but standing up to each other using their own sense of justice as their weapons.

Rolex Submariner Ref.5512 1978 Maxi Dial
This is a 4-digit non-date Submariner with a plastic crystal.
Produced from 1959 to 1978, this was the first Submariner model to feature a crown guard.

At first glance, the difference between the Ref. 5512 and the Submariner No Date/ Ref. 5513, which appear to be the same model, is that the Ref. 5512 is a chronometer standard, so the markings at the 6 o'clock position on the dial are four lines including the chronometer notation .
The Ref. 5513 has two lines of notation (no chronometer notation).
*The photo shows the Ref. 5513. The Ref. 5513 with its clean two-line meter-first notation is also a cool model!

The dial is a "maxi dial" in which the minute track on the outer periphery and the index appear to be attached.
I remember having a hard time finding a Ref.5512 with a maxi dial that looked good.

The windshield is equipped with a plumper aftermarket windshield.
I fell in love with this "bulging plastic windshield" and went looking for a four-digit Submariner!

Unlike sapphire crystal crystals, the appeal of plastic crystals (vintage Rolexes) is that you can enjoy the various expressions that the dome crystal shows and the changes in the dial!

It does show some signs of wear, but that's the beauty of vintage items!

Submariners with domed plastic crystals are really cool!!
