The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This is an early model with a red SUBMARINER logo that was manufactured from 1969 to around 1975, commonly known as the "Red Sub."
It is less available than before,
This is a vintage model that is attracting attention and the market price seems to be rising.
This model has a wide variety of dial variations, but they can be broadly divided into
MK1 to MK3 are meter first ( 200m = 660ft ),
From MK4 to MK6, the scale is feet first ( 660ft = 200m ).
The dial that has arrived this time is MK4.
The horizontal bars of the "f" and "t" in the waterproof rating of 660ft are not on the same line.
The dial features an open 6.
The MK4 dial is a relatively common dial among red subs,
When the dial condition is exceptionally good, the availability of such a piece drops dramatically.
Among them, this particular example is a rare one with the dial condition remaining at the highest level and in excellent condition.
The dial is in perfect condition even when viewed with a magnifying glass!!
It is rare to come across a specimen in this level of condition.
The condition of the luminous material is also good, and the burnt tritium luminous material is also very cool!!
The balance between the hands and indexes is also perfect!
The bezel is an MK3 bezel.
As expected, this bezel insert is a perfect fit for the 70s models!!
This is a vintage model, so there are scratches,
It is rare to find an MK3 insert in such good condition!!
Still, this one has a good look.
The condition is good, there are some scratches from use,
Overall it looks good and is in relatively good condition for a vintage model!
The condition of the middle case in particular is excellent with sharp edges!
This crisp lug shape is very attractive!
The hairline is also in good condition!
The bracelet is aged and has some natural wear, but is in very good condition!!
This wrap bracelet is also a big plus!
As you can see, the buckle is in good condition!
Wrist shot!!
The MK4 dial is crisp and has some burn marks!!
It's so cool! I hope you'll pick it up and take a look!
