The first Sea-Dweller "Ref.1665"
This model was created in 1967 in partnership with the underwater research company COMEX!
This model is known as the Red Seed , as it has the words "SEA-DWELLER" and "SUBMARINER 2000" printed in red, which are found on some early models.
Akaseed was produced for about 10 years until around 1977.
This is a rare model that is much less available than the red Sub.
The Red Sea-Dweller is classified into five types, including the prototype model MK0, up to MK4.
The item we are introducing this time is the MK4 with the final Red Seed dial.
The MK4 is characterized by slightly faded printing and a large crown and ROLEX logo.
The back cover is decorated with a "round logo".
The serial number is engraved on the inside.
The MK4 dial has two types of back cover: a straight logo and a round logo.
This particular example is the last one with serial number 52, so it has a round logo.
Although there is a small peeling area at the 6 o'clock position on the dial,
Other dial conditions are excellent.
The hands, indexes and tritium luminous material are strongly tanned, making this a beautiful piece!
Here is a comparison with Dr. ITO's favorite camera, the DRSD/MK4 (right)!!
Dr. ITO's beloved machine has also changed beautifully to cream,
Can you see how badly this piece is burned?
The bezel insert/MK3 has some scratches,
Combined with the tanned dial, it really does create a nice vintage feel.
*Luminous points are Luminova luminous.
The condition is good with scratches on the case and bracelet appropriate for the age.
The middle case is not overly finished,
This is a sturdy case that retains the rugged form unique to the Ref.1665!
The slightly later 93150/hard bracelet has some scratches from use,
The bracelet is slightly wrinkled, but is relatively sturdy!
Wrist shot!!
You have a good look!
This is a piece that exudes a wonderful vintage feel!
Vintage Red Sea-Dweller "Ref.1665/MK4"
The intensely burnt tritium is stunning, giving this red Sea-Dweller a very rugged look!
It would be so cool to wear a vintage model like this on an everyday basis!
This is a model that is very rare these days, so don't miss out!
If you are looking for a DRSD, please consider this one!
