The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989
During the long manufacturing period, various specification changes have been made.
It's a vintage Explorer.
This is a very popular vintage model that sells quickly in our store.
The item we have in stock this time is the early matte dial/MK1 manufactured around 1970.
The MK1 dial has a crown mark in a font that resembles a frog's leg.
This dial is called a "frog leg" or "frog foot."
The dial features the adorable crown mark that is unique to vintage models!
The appeal of this particular watch is the excellent condition of the dial and the beautifully lit tritium luminous material!!
