The second generation Explorer II, manufactured from around 1984 to around 1988
Introducing the short-lived model "Ref. 16550" which was produced for only a few years!
The dial colors of "Ref.16550" are black, white, and ivory,
The product we are introducing this time is an ivory dial, which is considered to be the rarest of all.
As for the ivory color that interests you,
Isn't this one a rather strong one?
It has a rich dial with a carbonara color.
Ivory dials vary from one piece to another,
The darker the color, the higher the price.
This is a comparison photo with our Ref. 16550/white dial (right).
Comparing them like this, can you see how strong this particular specimen is?
I think this color is quite intense.
Furthermore, the chronometer designation means that the space between the words "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" on the top line and "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is aligned.
This dial is called a "center split."
This dial is also available in the black dial.
Many people are looking for an ivory x center split dial.
This is a rare dial.
The dial condition is excellent with not a single scratch visible even with a magnifying glass.
The tritium luminous index changes to the same color as the dial.
The ivory dial has a nice color variation that makes it really cool!!
Unfortunately the hands were replaced in later years with Luminova hands.
The condition is that there are some scratches due to use,
This is an excellent specimen in excellent overall condition.
The hairline and edge lines of the lug feet are also perfectly defined!
The bezel has been replaced in later years but is in excellent, crisp condition.
The 78360 single bracelet was also replaced in later years,
The red velcro seal remains and there is no sign of use!
Of course, you won't notice any sagging in the bracelet!
Accessories include box, Explorer booklet, Oyster booklet,
Chronometer tag and calendar are available.
Wrist shot!!
The ivory dial is perfectly matched with the indexes of the same color.
This is an incredibly cool specimen!!
Rare Explorer II "Ref. 16550"

The overall condition is also excellent!
