Rolex Explorer Mirror Dial
Ref.6610 Serial.26 (manufactured around 1956-57)
Accessories: Box
Cal.1030 FF80/7206 Clasp 63.4 Back cover 57.1
SOLD OUT!!
The second generation Explorer "Ref. 6610" that appeared around 1955
Compared to the third generation Ref. 1016 (especially the higher model years) ,
This is a 1950s Explorer with a distinctly different feel as a vintage model!
The basic design is the same as the first model "Ref. 6350",
The movement can only wind the mainspring in one direction when the rotor rotates.
The old caliber "Cal. A296", which could not be wound in both directions, has been replaced with the bidirectional winding caliber Cal. 1030.
The back cover has also been changed from a thick one to a flat type.
The mirror dials of the 1950s were influenced by radium luminous material.
A notable feature is that many of these dials have aged to a matte finish.
This particular watch also shows signs of aging all over the dial.
The mirror dial has lost its luster, but there is no unevenness.
The dial condition is good.
The second hand is not a big dot,
The condition of the indexes and luminous hands, and the balance are also good!!
You have a great look on your face!!
The vintage 50's model has a great vibe!
The condition is age-appropriate with some scratches, but no major scratches.
Overall condition is good.
The middle case has a polished look appropriate for its age.
The bracelet is a later model,
The rivet bracelet is securely equipped.
The buckle clasp is stamped 4th period '63.
There are some wrinkles, but that's part of the charm of vintage models!!
Wrist shot!!
The aging that is unique to the 50's is irresistible!!
Enjoy the super cool atmosphere!
