Introducing the vintage model "Ref.1625/4"!!
The nickname "Thunderbird" comes from the captain of the U.S. Air Force's acrobatic team, the Thunderbirds.
It was specially ordered as a model to commemorate Colonel Don Ferris' retirement.
The most attractive feature of this model is the grey dial.
It has a beautifully detailed dial, typical of a vintage model.
Speaking of vintage Thunderbird models,
The silver dial is by far the most popular.
It's rare to see a grey dial.
When light hits it, it also has a beige hue.
It's a very atmospheric dial.
The understated white lettering goes perfectly with this, making it very cool.
The dial condition is good,
It is maintained in very good condition.
Even when viewed with a magnifying glass it is in very good condition.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The index luminous material is in perfect condition with no missing parts!
This dial condition is definitely rare for a watch manufactured around 1971!!
The rugged K18WG rotating bezel is also very cool.
There are some small scratches from use, but there is no sagging around the bezel!!
