The Day-Date is Rolex's highest-end model, available only in gold and platinum.

This is the "Ref. 18238" model, which is the first to allow the change of the day of the week in addition to the date display.
Compared to the thick kamaboko case of the previous model "Ref.18038",
It has been changed to a stylish case.
The most attractive feature of the Day-Date we are introducing this time is undoubtedly the dial.

Commonly known as the "pyramid dial"

This is a special dial with a pyramid pattern decorated all over the dial.
The one shown here has a black dial.
The ivory-colored pyramid dial is also famous.

Currently, the Datejust pyramid dial is more commonly seen,
It is becoming less common to see this on the Day-Date.
Furthermore, the black Roman pyramid dial is very rare.
This dial is now extremely rare.

This pyramid decoration is hard to see from the front,
As you can see, when light is shone on it, pyramid-shaped, three-dimensional bumps become visible.
I can't get enough of this Rolex's subtle presentation.

The overall condition is that there are some scratches and small marks due to use,
The bezel, case and bracelet are in good condition.
*The glass was replaced later and there are watermarks.

The middle case in particular has sharp edges,

The original bracelet, which matches the age, is slightly worn,
