The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1960 to around 1990. This is an R-number 1016, which is a later model.
Recently, 1016 has been very active again in our store!
Before I knew it, the stock of over 10 bottles had dwindled to just a few.
It seems that everyone is attracted to this simple, timeless and excellent design. 
Well then!! This particular one. The dial is the MK5 that matches the time period!
This is the final dial produced from around 1986 to around 1990, and it is a well-balanced and popular dial!
The luminous material is all tritium.
The impression I get is that most "Type 5 dials" are white and don't show any luminous fading, but this particular one has a slight cream-colored tritium luminous coating. 
The luminous hands are in excellent condition with no cracks.
Isn't this even browning the ideal way to change things? 
The condition of the dial and indexes is also in good condition.
Even so, this one has a really nice face!! 
Although there are some scratches from use, there are no noticeable scratches and it is in very good condition!! 
The middle case in particular is in excellent condition!! 
The hairline on the rug feet is beautiful and the edge lines are well defined! 
The clasp code "M" single bracelet also matches the era perfectly! 
The bracelet is sturdy with only slight creases!! 
The accessories for this product are also wonderful and attractive!!
The box, warranty, serial tag, chronometer tag, EX booklet, Oyster booklet, extra links, and the receipt from when it was purchased at a shop in Hong Kong are all still included. 
The outer box comes with a reflector seal!
I'm happy that it comes with a punched guarantee and serial tag.
If you look hard enough you can still find older 1016s that come with a guarantee, but the fact that this is in such good condition and comes with a guarantee is what makes it stand out!!
