The first-generation Explorer II "Ref.1655", manufactured from around 1971 to 1983, has arrived again!
The individual we are introducing today is
a very early model of the Ref.1655 with a serial number in the 2.7 million range.
This is the first time in a while that we've had such an early model in stock!
If you're looking for one, please take a look!
First, let's look at the features of an early model!

The dial is an original "Type 1 dial" that matches the period.
The small crown mark is a distinctive feature!
Although there is some slight age-related deterioration on the dial,
the condition is excellent.

The bezel is also the very early "Type 1" bezel.
The bold 24-hour markers laid out on the inner side are a characteristic of the MK1 bezel.
Recently, MK1 bezel models have become extremely rare to see.
The very early models with MK1 dials and MK1 bezels
are highly sought after and very rare.

The bezel is in excellent condition with sharp edges.
As the bezel is a very important point for the Ref.1655,
an MK1 bezel that was only in circulation for about a year
and maintains such a condition is undoubtedly rare!

The seconds hand is properly equipped with a "straight hand" that has no luminous dot.
This straight hand is also an indispensable feature of early models!!

Furthermore, this piece features a very rare "early case."
The early case is characterized by its pointed crown guards!
This early case is also very appealing!!

The beautifully faded yellow 24-hour hand also looks great!

The overall condition is good,
making it a very impressive example for a vintage model!

Similar to the bezel, the mid-case also has sharp edges!

The 280/7836 coiled bracelet, stamped with '70.3', matches the year,

It's in good condition with only slight stretching!!

Furthermore, the accessories for this product are amazing!!
It comes complete with the box including the model card, a booklet-type punched guarantee (1973),
the calendar from that time (1971),
and even the serial tag and chronometer tag are all present!!

Wrist shot!
A superb piece that exudes the atmosphere of an early model!!

Ref.1655 with an MK1 dial × MK1 bezel × early case × straight hand.
Such a cohesive early model is rare enough as it is, but with its complete set of accessories, it's an overall attractive and highly recommended model!
For customers looking for an early/vintage Explorer II,
this is a rare model that doesn't come in often,
so please consider it.
