Hello everyone.

In this third installment, we will focus on basketball and take a closer look at the watches worn by NBA player LeBron James.

Now, let's start with the jump ball!!

Who is LeBron James?

LeBron James is a superstar player who is called "one of the greatest players in NBA history ."

In the ranking of rich athletes , he has risen three places from 5th place last year to 2nd place (as of May 2022). Incidentally, the first and third places are occupied by soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although LeBron is already a 37-year-old veteran, last year he averaged 30.3 points, 6.2 assists, 8.2 rebounds, and a field goal percentage of 52.4%, making him one of the "greatest basketball players in NBA history."

He holds an incredible record in itself, having won the NBA Championship four times, the NBA Finals MVP award four times, and the NBA Most Valuable Player award four times. However, he has also achieved many other accomplishments worthy of the nickname "King James," including being selected to the NBA All-Star team for 18 consecutive years, being selected to the All-NBA team for 17 consecutive years, winning two Olympic gold medals, and breaking numerous records, including the youngest player to do so.

1. [Patek Philippe] "Nautilus" "Ref. 5711/1A-018"

The first model we will introduce is the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-018, a collaboration model between Patek Philippe and Tiffany, with a beautiful Tiffany blue dial.

This watch, limited to 170 pieces worldwide, was produced to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the two companies' partnership and was sold for the astonishing price of $6,503,500 at Phillips Auction in December 2021.

In Japanese yen, this is approximately 734,895,500 yen!!! ( 1 dollar = 113.4 yen, December 2021 )

The winning bid price is so out of this world that it's confusing... (laughs)

The sapphire crystal case back is engraved with "170th ANNIVERSARY 1851 - 2021 TIFFANY & Co - PATEK PHILIPPE," and although there are other collaboration models with Tiffany, this watch is generally highly regarded and is extremely popular among collectors.

"I'd love to wear it on my wrist just once!"

If you're a watch lover, this is one that everyone will want to own!

2. [Audemars Piguet] "Royal Oak" "Ref. 16202BA"

The second is the Royal Oak Ref. 16202BA, a timepiece created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak.

Equipped with the new movement, "Cal. 7121," the vibration frequency has been increased from 19,800 vibrations per hour to 28,800 vibrations per hour, significantly improving stability and precision.

The biggest advantage of the new caliber is that the power reserve has been extended from 40 hours to 55 hours. It took five years to develop the Cal. 7121, and you can really see how serious Audemars Piguet is about it!

The smoky yellow gold dial with a "Petit Tapisserie" pattern is treated with a luminescent coating, making this a watch truly worthy of the name "King."

3. [Rolex] "Day-Date" "Ref. 228396TBR"

The third watch is the Day-Date "Ref. 228396TBR" with a beautiful ice blue dial.

We have several ice blue Day-Date watches in stock at Commit Ginza (hereafter referred to as our store), but the Arabic indexes are extremely rare and make this a very rare model. Arabic indexes are generally considered rare, including other models, and are not something you see very often. By the way, I can understand the numbers from their placement, but I honestly don't know what the date (day of the week) is... (lol)

Can I buy it if I go to the Middle East? Or will I have to wait patiently until it is available in the Japanese market? I sincerely hope that this model will be available in our store!

4. [Patek Philippe] "Nautilus Chronograph" "Ref. 5980/1R-001"

The fourth watch is the Nautilus Chronograph, Ref. 5980/1R-001, Patek Philippe's first ever sports chronograph model, released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the birth of the Nautilus.

The 18KPG (pink gold) Nautilus-specific brown dial creates a sporty yet elegant atmosphere, making for a truly beautiful finish.

At the 6 o'clock position is a dual sub-dial that displays a 60-minute counter and a 12-hour counter on the same axis. The popularity of the Nautilus has led to a rise in price, making it difficult to purchase a new one, and even in the second-hand market, it is in a price range that is difficult to afford.

5. [Richard Mille] "RM011-03" "Jean Todt"

The fifth is the commemorative model, RM011-03, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jean Todt 's appointment as the ninth president of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile.

The gently curved case is ergonomically designed and was created at the request of Jean Todt himself. The movement is made of titanium (grade 5) baseplate and bridges to increase rigidity, and its power reserve is said to be approximately 55 hours. The free-sprung balance, which boasts a frequency of 28,800 vibrations, is shock-resistant and ensures stability and accuracy.

The movement that can be seen through the see-through case back is simply beautiful. You can see its delicacy at a glance. It is also highly practical, and there is no doubt that it is a one-of-a-kind timepiece.

6. [Audemars Piguet] "Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph" "Ref. 26421OR.OO.A002CA.01"

The sixth is the "Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph" "Ref. 26421OR.OO.A002CA.01", which was announced as a model commemorating the 25th anniversary of the "Royal Oak Offshore".

Available in two models, SS (stainless steel) and 18KPG ( pink gold) , the movement can be seen through anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass, creating a unique design reminiscent of innovative modern architecture.

The combination of the black rubber strap and 18KPG (pink gold) creates a relaxed feel in a good way, making this a top-quality watch that combines both elegance and casualness.
