Vacheron Constantin is considered one of the three biggest luxury watch makers in the world, along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.
This watch brand was founded in 1755 when Jean-Marc Vacheron set up a watch workshop. Although some brands were forced to close due to the Quartz Shock and the effects of the war, this brand has continued to produce watches without interruption, and is said to be the oldest in the world, having been founded 265 years ago.
When it comes to Vacheron Constantin, many people may have a strong image of it being a brand that brings out the sophisticated design and beautiful movements of mature men. However, there are also sports luxury models such as the Overseas, which have become increasingly popular in recent years, and it seems that the brand is gaining support from younger people as well.
This time, I would like to introduce some recommended current models from Vacheron Constantin.

Recommended Model ① Overseas Automatic 4500V/110A-B128
Vacheron's luxury sports watch, Overseas.
Currently, this is the most popular model of the brand, and it is difficult to purchase it at an official store. The model was changed in 2016, and the eight bezel designs with two overlapping Maltese crosses were changed to six, and the case diameter was changed to 41mm, 1mm smaller than the previous model. In addition, the hands were changed to thinner ones, bar indexes, and a see-through case back.
The blue dial we are introducing this time has a deep and beautiful color. Blue has been very popular recently, including among other brands. The blue dial of the Vacheron Overseas has also risen in price, and is becoming harder to find even on the second-hand market.
Another popular feature is that it comes with an alligator strap and a rubber strap, which can be easily changed with one touch without the need for any tools. I think the fact that you can easily change the bracelet to suit the occasion or use has also spurred its popularity.

Recommended Model 2: Fiftysix Automatic 4600E/110A-B487
Inspired by the famous 6073, which Vacheron Constantin released in 1956, the Fiftysix Automatic was released in 2018 as a new model. While following tradition, it is not a simple reproduction, but rather a brushed-up version incorporating modern designs. The Maltese cross motif, which is used prominently on the lugs of the 6073, incorporates modern elements into the design between the lugs and the case, giving it an elegant form that is not just a round case. The see-through back allows you to see the beautiful automatic caliber 1326 with a 22-karat rotor made of Maltese cross openwork, which was co-produced with the Richemont Group. The stainless steel bracelet is equipped with an easy fit system that can be adjusted to 4mm in length, making it comfortable to wear. The sophisticated and simple design condenses the charm of a luxury watch, and in my opinion, this is the model I would most like to recommend right now , following the Overseas. This is the blue dial that was newly added in 2019.

What did you think.
Although this is a column introducing current models, there is a watch that I personally have a special attachment to: the Vacheron Constantin "222." It is a limited edition model (designed by Jorg Hysek) released in 1977 to commemorate the 222nd anniversary of the founding of Vacheron Constantin. It has fetched high prices at overseas auctions, but I believe that the foundations of today's popular watch designs were laid during this period, including the "Royal Oak" designed by Gerald Genta and released by Audemars Piguet in 1972, and the "Nautilus" designed by the same man and released by Patek Philippe in 1976. As one of the world's three largest luxury watch makers, I would like to keep an eye on Vacheron Constantin's history as well as its future trends.
Vacheron Constantin is also featured on Commit TV (from around 5:50 seconds), so be sure to tune in!
