The item that Mr. Ishigaki purchased was, A popular vintage model: Rolex's "Submariner Date" Ref. 1680.

The "Ref.1680" was manufactured from 1969 to 1980, and the "Red Sub" with the "SUBMARINER" markings in red, commonly known as the "Red Sub" that existed until the mid-1970s, is known as the first Submariner diver's model with a calendar function. After that, the "White Sub" with the "SUBMARINER" markings in white, commonly known as the "White Sub", appeared from the mid-1970s onwards. This watch is highly practical and functional, with a triplock crown that improves water resistance and the famous masterpiece movement "Cal.1570 (with hack)".

The watch that SO purchased is the Rolex Submariner Date "Ref. 116610LV," popularly known as the "Green Sub," which features Rolex's corporate color, green, on the bezel and dial.

This model, also known as "Hulk" after the Marvel character, was released in 2010 as the successor to the "Ref. 16610LV" released in 2003 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Submariner. The dial color, which was black in the previous model, has been changed to a vivid green, and the case and bezel have also evolved to a more robust construction. It has gained popularity as a bold and impressive sports model, completely covered in green, which is a symbol of Rolex. It continues to be highly regarded as the only Submariner with a green dial and is currently a discontinued model (discontinued).
