What Okki bought for me was, The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Ref. Q906863J is a sports model that combines a vintage feel with modern high-spec functionality .

This was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Memovox Polaris, which was released in 1968. This model will be released in 2022 and is limited to 100 pieces available at the e-boutique. It is equipped with the latest generation movement "Cal.899" with a countdown function and a power reserve of 70 hours. In addition, it also features an easy change system that allows you to easily change the strap without using tools.

Rolex Explorer II [Ref.16550][Ref.16550]

The watch that Masa purchased was the Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16550, which features an eye-catching rich ivory dial.

The "Ref. 16550" is said to have appeared around 1984 as the successor to the first "Explorer II" model "Ref. 1655" that appeared in 1971. There are several variations in the color of the dial, but it was produced for a short period of about five years and the number produced was relatively small, so it is still a model shrouded in mystery.

The dial is available in three colors: black, white, and ivory, with the ivory color being said to be the rarest.

The so-called "Cream Daytona" that exists in the P, K, Y, and F numbers is one of the popular models that has been highly praised in recent years. By the way, when coloring the dial during production, a coloring agent that changes color over time was used, which is said to be the reason why it turns cream color.
