The 1981 French-German co-production absurdist horror film " Possession " is known as a hidden masterpiece, with lead actress Isabelle Adjani winning the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival and having been shown in revival screenings in recent years. As the title suggests, Sam Neill plays a husband who is consumed by the madness of his wife, who is controlled by an evil entity, and who himself loses his sanity.
The watch he wears in the film is likely an Omega Constellation Marine (Ref. 193.0147) . Dr. Grant was not keen on the idea of putting dinosaurs on display, but when he received an offer of research funding from the foundation, he had no choice but to accept the request for cooperation.
Some time later, Dr. Grant and mathematician Dr. Malcolm ( Jeff Goldblum ) arrive on an isolated island off the coast of Costa Rica and see many dinosaurs roaming around. However, that night, a storm hits and cuts off the facility's power supply, causing the dinosaurs to escape the park and start attacking humans...

The dinosaur movie series " Jurassic Park " is still enjoyed by people of all ages and genders, both in the East and the West. Sam Neill plays the role of Dr. Grant, a paleontologist and dinosaur nerd who is always short on cash, not only in the first film but also in three of the six films in the series.
In this film, he is wearing a vintage watch with a small second hand . As with "Possession," there are no close-up scenes, so it is difficult to say for sure, but it is thought to be a military watch used around the time of World War II ( the 1940s ). In terms of the shape of the lugs, Waltham is probably the closest military watch manufacturer of the time. Sutter Cain ( Jurgen Prochnow ), a best-selling horror novel author, disappears, saying, "My novels are real." The publisher who had taken out insurance on him asks insurance investigator Trent ( Sam Neill ) to search for him. Looking for clues, Trent reads through Cain's horror novels, and when he notices a map of New Hampshire on the cover of one of the novels, he intuitively believes Cain is there.
Trent heads to the town depicted on the map with Linda ( Julie Carmen ), the female editor who was in charge of Kane. On the way, they encounter strange and mysterious phenomena, but they arrive at a strange town that is exactly like the rural town of "Hob" that appears in Kane's novel. Trent suspects that this must be a puzzle game set up by the publisher. However, he does not yet realize that he is heading into a world where horror novels become reality...

The Cthulhu Mythos was created by horror writer HP Lovecraft in the 1920s and 1930s, and is still popular today as a subject for horror novels, horror movies, role-playing games, etc. In the Mouth of Madness (1994), a horror movie directed by John Carpenter , known for Halloween (1978) and The Thing (1982), uses the Cthulhu Mythos as a motif to depict the absurdity of fiction invading reality.
In this film, Sam Neill plays a realist who gets lost in the world of horror novels and loses his mind. The watch he is wearing is likely a Longines DolceVita 1932 (Ref. L5.662.6.79.2 ) . The director of this film, John Carpenter, is known to be a fan of Cartier Pasha , and when I first saw this image, I thought, "Is this the same Cartier Tank?" However, there is no cabochon on the crown, so unfortunately (?), it cannot be said that "the director and the lead actor are wearing matching Cartiers ."
