"Ref.1016"

The "Ref. 1016" is a long-selling model that was produced from around 1960 to around 1990, and is highly popular among vintage Rolexes.

During its 20-plus years of production, several detail changes were made, including the early Cal.1560 movement and the later Cal.1570 movement from 1972 onwards. The dials are all attractive models, from the early mirror dial with a gold circle "MM dial", to the later mirror dial with the minute circle removed, to the later matte dial.
