Heritage Collection Wako 75th Anniversary Limited Edition "Ref.SBGE289"

Coming in fourth place is the Heritage Collection Wako 75th Anniversary Limited Edition "Ref. SBGE289," with its beautiful sky blue, misorairo dial.

This new model for 2022 features a dial in the traditional Japanese color "Misorairo," with a stamped pattern of scale clouds, which are said to symbolize the arrival of autumn. The Spring Drive "Cal. 9R66," which can be described as a hybrid of mechanical and quartz, can be viewed in motion through the skeleton back. In third place is the Evolution 9 Birch "Ref. SLGA009", which was created in 2022 and was inspired by the vast birch forests located close to the Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo in Nagano Prefecture, where the Spring Drive model is manufactured.

At first glance, some may think it is the "Ref.SLGH005" with a birch dial, which won the Men's Watch category at the 2021 Geneva Watch Grand Prix. However, upon closer inspection, although the dial has the same birch design, the texture and stamping pattern of the dial are different. By the way, the "Ref.SLGH005" has a silver-colored dial with deep carvings and strong shadows, while the "Ref.SLGA009" has a slightly shallower carving and a softer impression, with a color that is closer to a matte white. In addition, it is equipped with the new Spring Drive movement "Cal.9RA2", which boasts a power reserve of approximately 120 hours (5 days), and is installed in a regular production model for the first time. In second place is the "Elegance Collection Seiko 140th Anniversary Limited Edition Model" "Ref. SBGW260," which was produced in a limited run of 350 pieces to commemorate the 140th anniversary of Seiko's founding.

This model, which was released as a reprint of the first Grand Seiko, uses 18KPG (pink gold) for the indexes and case, and has a embossed "Grand Seiko" logo at the 12 o'clock position, which is different from the "GS" of the general model.
