Whether you own a luxury watch or not, you have probably wondered at least once, "Which model is popular?" While everyone has their own motivations, such as "I want a popular classic model!" or "I want a model that no one else has!" , it is difficult to know which models are actually popular unless you get real-time information.

For all of you who are interested, we have published a total of 10 articles that introduce the top 5 models (= popular models) from each brand that we have handled at Commit Ginza (hereinafter referred to as our store) in the past year. And in this final article, we would like to introduce brands that we have not been able to introduce so far, ranked together! Please enjoy reading and guessing which models from which brands will be ranked.

Brands we have introduced so far (please see the links below for past articles)

5th place: [Capek] "Antarctic Terre Adelie"

Coming in fifth place is the Antarctic Terre Adelie, named after the peninsula discovered by French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville during his Antarctic expedition.

This watch uses a unique glittering technique developed by our partner Metalem on the dial, resulting in a beautiful finish with complex reflections and textures. The integrated bracelet with a "C"-shaped link has a unique design that skillfully uses brushed and polished finishes, and the movement is the COSC-certified Cal.SXH5.01, which is made entirely in-house and whose intricate movement can be admired through the skeleton back. It is a versatile watch that exudes an elegant atmosphere while also having a sporty finish.

4th place: [Cartier] "Santos de Cartier" "Ref. WSSA0048 "

In fourth place is the Santos de Cartier "Ref. WSSA0048," said to be the world's first wristwatch, created in 1904 through the friendship between Louis Cartier and Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont.

The vibrant blue dial with stripes and the PVD-coated bezel give this watch a sporty impression, and the bezel and bracelet feature screws inspired by the screws that connect the parts of an airplane. It is also highly practical, with a "Quick Switch" that allows for easy strap replacement and a "Smart Link" that allows for size adjustment. The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel, so this is a model we would highly recommend to those who are purchasing a luxury watch for the first time or those looking for a model that can be used daily.

3rd Place
[Zenith] "Chronomaster Sports" "Ref.03.3100.3600/69.M3100 "

In third place is the Chronomaster Sports "Ref. 03.3100.3600/69.M3100", released in 2021 and equipped with the El Primero, which is considered the pinnacle of chronograph movements .

This watch features a refreshing matte white dial with three striking colored subdials, a durable ceramic bezel, and a rugged SS (stainless steel) case and bracelet, giving it a bold and sporty finish. The El Primero movement visible through the see-through back is a high-beat model that beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour. It is capable of measuring with high precision in 1/10th of a second, and has a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, making it an impressive piece of equipment. Why not wear this model with a casual T-shirt this coming season to create a sporty look?

2nd Place
[Parmigiani Fleurier] "Tonda PF Micro Rotor" "Ref. PFC914-1020001-100182 "

In second place is the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor (Ref. PFC914-1020001-100182), designed by Guido Tereni, head of Bvlgari's watch division and one of the creators of the Octo Finissimo.

Tonda means "round" in Italian, and as its name suggests, this watch has a beautiful round case with flowing curves, and is equipped with fine guilloche engraving, solid gold skeleton hands, and a multi-finished bezel made of platinum (PT), further enhancing its sense of luxury. With a case diameter of 40mm and a case thickness of 7.8mm, this simple two-hand model is thin and comfortable to wear, making it a versatile piece that can be worn with both casual and dressy styles.

1st Place
[Chopard] "Alpine Eagle Large" "Ref. 298600-3001 "

The honorable first place goes to the Alpine Eagle Large (Ref. 298600-3001), which pays homage to the St. Moritz, the first watch created in 1980 by Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.

This model features a galvanic-processed Aletsch blue dial design, which is said to be inspired by the iris of an eagle. The case and bracelet are made of Lucent Steel A223, which took four years to develop. This material is 50% harder than 316L, a stainless steel material often used in luxury watches. It is also anti-allergic, so it is highly recommended for those who have metal allergies. Why not take this opportunity to get your hands on this next-generation luxury sports watch that combines beautiful design with practicality?
