Lot.802
Nautilus SS
Reference 5711/1A-010

CHF HKD 1,071,000 (JPY 16,247,070)

The "Ref. 5711/1A-010" was released in 2006 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, and production was sadly discontinued in 2021. The warranty card is dated 2013, but I think the winning bid was in line with the market price.

Lot.805
Nautilus Chronograph 18KWG
Reference 5976/1G-001

HKD 3,780,000 (JPY 57,342,600)

The Nautilus Ref. 5976/1G-001 was released in 2016 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus, with a limited run of 1,300 pieces. Its impressive case size (44mm) and weight (over 300g) are characterized by its bucket-cut diamond indexes and a special edition bright blue dial embossed with "1976-40-2016". I think the winning bid for this one was also in line with the current market price.

Lot.807
Nautilus Petite Complication TIFFANY&CO. SS
Reference 5712/1A-001

HKD 1,764,000 (JPY 26,759,880)

The "Ref. 5712/1A-001" was released in 2006 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, and is still on sale today. This is a popular model with a stainless steel case, black and blue dial, and a small complication. Furthermore, it is a rare and hard-to-find double-name model with "TIFFANY & CO.", and the "TIFFANY & CO." stamp is stamped on the dial (5-6 o'clock position). The prices of double-name models such as the "Nautilus" and "Aquanaut" are skyrocketing. The warranty date is 2019. It is also a recommended watch for collections.

Lot.809
Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 18KWG
Reference 5270G-014

HKD1,260,000 (JPY19,114,200)

The "Ref.5270G-014" is a perpetual calendar watch with a chronograph, featuring a blue dial in 18KWG (white gold), which is no longer in production. This is the second generation of the "Ref.5270", and it was produced for a short period of time, so it is hard to find these days. Judging from the auction results, the market price seems to be rising.

Lot.813
Nautilus TIFFANY&CO. 18KRG
Reference 5711/1R-001

HKD 2,205,000 (JPY 33,449,850)

The Nautilus "Ref. 5711/1R-001" in 18KRG (rose gold) was released in 2015. Like Lot. 807 (Ref. 5712/1A-001), this is a rare and hard-to-obtain double-name model with "TIFFANY & CO.", and has a "TIFFANY & CO." stamp at the 6 o'clock position on the dial. It has been in short supply on the market recently, and the market price seems to have risen sharply. The warranty date is 2018, so it is a relatively old model, and I think the winning bid price was reasonable.

Lot.814
Nautilus 18KRG
Reference 5723/112R-001

HKD 4,914,000 (JPY 74,545,380)

The Nautilus "Ref. 5723/112R-001" is said to have been made for a limited number of customers. As you can tell at a glance, it is a special model with 32 baguette-cut rubies set on the bezel and 12 on the dial indexes. The aura of the watch when you actually see it must have been incredible! Of course, the winning bid was also surprising (lol).

Lot.824
Chronograph 18KWG
Reference 5070G-001

HKD 554,400 (JPY 8,410,248)

The popular second chronograph "Ref. 5070G-001" is equipped with a Lemania-based movement. The 42mm case diameter has a strong presence, and the combination of the 18KWG (white gold) case, hands and dial in the same color is cool and very stylish. Since the opening of Commit Ginza, this model has never been in stock, so it is definitely one we would like to carry.

Lot.849
Nautilus SS
Reference 3700/1

HKD 1,071,000 (JPY 16,247,000)

The first Nautilus, commonly known as "Jumbo", designed by the master Gerald Genta, was released in 1976. The archives for this watch show it was manufactured in 1974 and sold in 1977, meaning it wasn't sold for about three years? It's a rather interesting watch. The hands appear to have been replaced, but the indexes on the dial are slightly faded, giving it a nice, atmospheric look.

Lot.851
Nautilus Platinum
Reference 3800/1

HKD 1,134,000 (JPY 17,202,780)

The Ref. 3800/1 is a very rare platinum version of the Nautilus "medium" size Ref. 3800. I have seen many Patek Philippe models since I became involved in the watch industry, but I have only seen one or two platinum-cased Ref. 3800s in the past, and they are extremely rare on the market. The dial features 11 diamond indexes that give it a nice atmosphere and impression. I think the winning bid was also a good deal.

Lot.852
Perpetual Calendar Platinum
Reference 3448

HKD 17,795,000 (JPY 269,950,150)

The Ref. 3448 is said to be the world's first automatic movement with a perpetual calendar, released in 1962. This model has two extremely rare features. The first is that it has original sapphire indexes. The second is that the case material was upgraded to platinum in 1997. These features are also clearly recorded in the archives, making this an extremely rare watch. There are only two Ref. 3448s with platinum cases on the market, and the other one was also upgraded in 1997. I think the winning bid was also a very reasonable price.

Lot.868
Nautilus Petite Complication SS
Reference 3712/1A-001

HKD 1,323,000 (JPY 20,069,910)

The Ref. 3712/1A-001 was released in 2005 as the first Nautilus with a petite complication function. It was only produced for about a year, so it is becoming less and less common on the market, but this is an even rarer example in its unopened vinyl (single shield) condition. This condition makes it perfect for a collection.

Lot.871
Nautilus TIFFANY&CO. SS
Reference 5711/1A-011

HKD 1,827,000 (JPY 27,715,590)

The "Ref. 5711/1A-011" was released in 2012 with a white dial as an additional color. This is the third watch in this article, so this time it's a very bumper crop (lol). According to the warranty, it seems to have been sold at Tiffany & Co. in 2016. We had predicted that it would sell for around 22 million yen, but it ended up selling for over 27 million yen in Japanese yen. The black and blue dial is still popular, but looking at the number of watches in circulation, perhaps this is because there are far fewer white dials.

Lot.915
Annual Calendar Chronograph SS
Reference 5960/1A-00 1

HKD 504,000 (JPY 7,645,680)

The Ref. 5960/1A-001 was a surprise new release at Baselworld 2014. When it was announced, I thought the combination of the hour hand and dial was a pop and sporty design that was unusual for Patek Philippe in a good way. The market has been rising recently, but I think this model has been undervalued, and I have high hopes for the future.

Lot.917
World Time Moon Phase 18KWG
Reference 5575G-001

HKD 1,134,000 (JPY 17,202,780)

[Patek Philippe] The "Ref. 5575G-001" is a world time model with a moon phase, released in 2014 as a 175th anniversary model with a worldwide limited edition of 1,300 pieces. We have handled three of these watches in the past at Commit, and when you actually see the watch, it is just a cool model. Although it is a watch that is not widely available on the market, it is a model that we would definitely like to handle again.

summary

What did you think.

Actually, this time I focused on the Nautilus, and talked about other models, especially rare ones. Overall, the auction prices were reasonable given the current market conditions, and I think the prices have calmed down a bit. Of course. As for Patek Philippe, it is a brand with a small number of units (supply) and a high official retail price, so please forgive me for that.

We will continue to strive to provide easy-to-understand information on global auctions here on Patek Theory, so please look forward to it.

see you!
