hello everyone.

The Paralympics will finally begin tomorrow. Even under these circumstances, I hope that the athletes will be able to perform well without any injuries, just like in the Olympics.

Well, this time we would like to introduce the "Ref. 5711/1P-010" from the popular Patek Philippe series "Nautilus". This is also the first time we have received an extremely rare watch since we started Commit, so please enjoy reading until the end.

"Ref.5711/1P-010" Nautilus Large Size Platinum

First of all, when hearing about the large-sized platinum case of the Nautilus, many people who are familiar with its existence will probably think of the Ref. 5711/1P-001, a limited edition model of 700 pieces that was released in 2016 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus.

Its distinctive features are the baguette-finished diamonds on the index, the number "40" at the 6 o'clock position on the sunburst-finished blue dial, and the embossed "1976 - 2016" below it. The dial design is immediately recognizable as representing the 40th anniversary from 1976 to 2016, the year the Nautilus was born. Since its launch, it has been difficult to purchase from an authorized store. The number of units actually sold was extremely small, and it is now almost impossible to see in the domestic market, and even a certain famous overseas website is selling it at a high price.

That's a long introduction, but the watch we'd like to introduce this time is not the model "Ref. 5711/1P- 001 ," but the even smaller model "Ref. 5711/1P- 010 ," which was produced in extremely limited numbers, and only a few have appeared in overseas watch auctions so far.

In preparing to introduce this watch, I have done some research and have spoken to past customers, and I believe it was manufactured and sold to Patek Philippe's most valued customers between 2012 and 2016. There are various theories about the number of pieces, but it is believed to be around 50 .

At first glance, it may seem like a large-sized Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A made of stainless steel, but the dial color is clearly different.

"Ref.5711/1A-010" is " NOIR "
"Ref.5711/1P-010" is " BLEU ROI "

It is written in French. They mean " black " and " royal blue " respectively.

Many people think that the blue dials of the Nautilus up until that point were a mixture of blue and black with a gradational effect, but the dial of the "Ref. 5711/1P-010" is not a gradational effect, but rather a bright, refreshing blue. Another difference is that the date display at the 3 o'clock position has a frame.

As we have mentioned several times before when introducing models with platinum cases, this Nautilus also has a diamond set on the 6 o'clock side of the case, differentiating it from other materials.

On the back of the case, there are four engravings, including PT950, which indicates that it is platinum. It weighs 259g! You can feel the weight that only platinum can have. The movement that can be seen through the skeleton back is Patek Philippe's proud 28,800 high vibration "Cal.324 SC". Stable accuracy.

This watch is a true collection piece, with little signs of wear and in excellent condition. All accessories are in good condition, and the paper envelope for the leather-like pass case containing the warranty documents also has the reference, movement and case numbers written on it.

The selling price is 67,980,000 yen (tax included).

If you look at the selling price alone, it seems incredibly expensive, but considering that an unopened "Nautilus" Ref. 5711/1A-014 with a green dial and stainless steel case, which was a hot topic this year, was sold for about 54 million yen including the buyer's premium at the Antiquorum overseas watch auction held last month (July 2021), and taking into account the number of units produced and the materials used, the "Ref. 5711/1P-010" introduced this time is probably not that expensive! ? Of course, it's a watch that's out of my reach in my lifetime, but it's a dream come true (lol).

summary

What did you think.

Since we had the chance, we decided to take a commemorative photo of the two of us. Which one do you prefer? (lol)

Anyway, we received an emergency shipment of this incredible watch, which has me pretty excited, and we will continue to introduce any additional extremely rare models here as they arrive.
