Good evening everyone.

Today, on Sunday, November 29th,

Based on the auction results, I would like to talk about Patek Philippe watches, focusing on the watches that caught my eye.

*The price is the winning auction price plus a commission fee (26%).
*The Japanese yen rate will be based on the exchange rate immediately prior to the auction.
*HKD (Hong Kong dollar) = 13.87 yen
 *All images are from PHILLIPS.

Lot.832 Nautilus 18KRG Ref.5723/1R-010

HKD 2,079,000 (JPY 28,835,730)

This is a luxury version of the large-sized Nautilus "Ref. 5711" in an 18KRG (rose gold) case with baguette-cut diamonds set in the bezel. The double factory sealed (completely unopened) condition makes it a great choice for collectors. It's a watch I'd love to see in person.

Lot.835 Celestial 18KRG Ref.6104R-001

HKD 3,339,000 (JPY 46,311,930)

The Celestial is equipped with a star chart that reproduces the movement of the sky. You can see the movement of the stars and moon in the northern hemisphere, as well as the phases of the moon, on the dial at any time you like. It is a very romantic watch, and the bezel is generously set with baguette-cut diamonds. It is truly a dream watch.

Lot.836 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Platinum Ref.5271/12P-001

HKD 2,457,000 (JPY 34,078,590)

This watch is the current model, the perpetual calendar chronograph with baguette diamond bezel "Ref. 5271P" with a ruby bezel. It is a very rare watch to begin with, but like the Nautilus mentioned above, this one is double factory sealed. This is also a watch for collectors, and one that I would love to see in person.

Lot.871 Perpetual Calendar Moon Phase 18KYG Ref.3448

HKD 2,142,000 (JPY 29,709,540)

Released in 1962, this model is said to be the world's first wristwatch equipped with a self-winding movement and perpetual calendar. Both the dial and case are in good condition, and it comes with an original warranty, making this a perfect piece for your collection. It's rare to have a chance to see one in person, but I have seen a few in the past. It's a really good watch with a well-designed design.

Lot.872 Nautilus Jumbo SS Ref.3700/001

HKD 1,701,000 (JPY 23,592,870)

This is a satisfactory example of the first Nautilus Jumbo "Ref. 3700" in a stainless steel case with an original warranty and cork box. The dial indexes and the luminous hands have a nice fading that is very appealing (lol). What's more, at 6 o'clock on the dial, it is a double-name model by the well-known retailer "Gubelin". It's expensive and out of my reach, but the winning bid price is satisfactory.

Lot.885 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Platinum Ref.5971P

HKD 1,890,000 (JPY 26,214300)

The Ref. 5971P is a platinum-cased perpetual calendar chronograph from the popular Ref. 5970 series, equipped with a Lemania-based movement, and features a baguette diamond bezel. I haven't had many opportunities to see one in person lately, but I've seen several in the past, and it's a very cool watch with a strong presence. It's out of my league, but it's definitely one of the watches I'd like to own.

Lot.927 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Platinum Ref.3970EP-021

HKD 1,134,000 (JPY 15,728,580)

This is the popular perpetual calendar chronograph "Ref. 3970" with a Lemania movement, in a platinum case and silver dial. I think the relatively late production date and the condition of the unopened single shield led to the high price. This is just my personal opinion, but since the hands and indexes are not luminous, I think the silver dial has good visibility and is suitable for wearing.

Lot.928 Chronograph Platinum Ref.5070P-001

HKD 1,386,000 (JPY 19,223,820)

The "Ref.5070P-001" was released in 2008 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the second chronograph "Re.5070" equipped with a Lemania-based movement, which was also exhibited in Hong Kong after Geneva. The combination of a PT (platinum) case and a blue dial is very cool. It was produced for only about two years, and before you know it, it was a watch that sold for over 20 million yen on the market. Its winning bid at auction has also been stable.

Lot.975 Perpetual Calendar Moon Phase 18KYG Ref.2438/1

HKD 2,142,000 (JPY 29,709,540)

The "Ref. 2438/1" was released in 1951 and manufactured until 1962. It is said to be the world's first model equipped with a perpetual calendar and a center second hand. The "Ref. 2438/1" has a screw-back case back, while the "Ref. 2497" has a snap-back case back. The "Ref. 2438/1" is more popular because of its high water resistance. Only 35 "Ref. 2438/1" 18KYG (yellow gold) models were produced. It is an extremely rare model, but the case condition is good and the winning bid price is reasonable.

Lot.979 Perpetual Calendar Moon Phase 18KYG Ref.3450

HKD 2,205,000 (JPY 30,583,350)

The automatic perpetual calendar "Ref.3448" from Lot.871 is a model with a leap year display window, "Ref.3450" (between the 3 and 4 o'clock positions on the dial). The production period was short and only 237 pieces were made, so it is rare to see a watch in such good condition with an original warranty even at an auction. It is no wonder that the winning bid reached 30 million yen.

Lot.987 Celestial 18KWG Ref.6104G-001

HKD 3,654,000 (JPY 50,680,980)

The "Ref. 6104R-001" introduced in Lot. 835 is a model with an 18KRG (rose gold) case that is still listed in the catalog, but this is a model with an 18KWG (white gold) case that is no longer in production. The beautiful blue dial is accented with the red tip of the pointer date. In addition, the baguette-cut diamond bezel makes the dial, which shows the star chart of the sky, stand out even more. Although it is not listed on the website, Commit has sold this model in the past. When you actually see the watch, it is an attractive watch that is captivating, although it may sound exaggerated. Although it was the result of an auction, I was happy that I won the bid for a higher price than the selling price at the time.

summary

I have shared the results of the PHILLIPS auction held in Hong Kong on Sunday, November 29th, highlighting the Patek Philippe watches that interest me. What did you think?

There were many more Patek Philippe watches on display, but I'll stop here for now.

After all, overseas auctions are the only place you can see incredible models and extremely rare antique watches that you normally wouldn't get to see.

see you!
