Good evening everyone.
This time, we would like to introduce two models of the popular "Aquanaut," which has recently seen a sharp rise in price: "Ref. 5164A-001 (Stainless Steel)" and "Ref. 5164R-001 (Rose Gold)." Please read to the end!
"Ref.5164A-001"
"Aquanaut Travel Time" SS
The stainless steel Aquanaut Travel Time, Ref. 5164A-001, was announced at Baselworld in 2011.
This model features the same 40.8mm case as the base model, the Ref. 5167A-001, and is equipped with a "Travel Time" mechanism. Despite its bold design, the case thickness is kept to just 10.2mm, making it an exceptionally comfortable watch to wear.
Patek Philippe's "Travel Time" mechanism is easy to use; simply press the buttons at 10 o'clock and 8 o'clock to set the local time. This is especially recommended for those who travel abroad frequently for business or leisure.
How to use and how to read it: The small windows at 3 o'clock for HOME (departure point) and 9 o'clock for LOCAL (local location) distinguish between day and night (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM: White, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM: Blue)
▶ Press the buttons on the side of the case at 10 o'clock and 8 o'clock to change the time zone (normal operation of the hour hand)
Press the push button at 8 o'clock to advance the hour by one hour. Press the push button at 10 o'clock to advance the hour by one hour.
The movement that can be seen through the skeleton back is the "Cal. 324 SC FUS" equipped with a travel time mechanism.
Please note: There is a small button on the side of the case at the 4 o'clock position on the dial for fast-forwarding the calendar, but the calendar cannot be changed between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
The buckle specifications were probably changed around 2021, but this particular watch is a rare one equipped with the latest specifications. The fact that you can feel the updates in the details is a point that makes it highly rated.
The warranty is dated August 2021, and the watch has been refurbished at our partner workshop, so it is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches and the edges of the case are sharp. All accessories are included, making this a beautiful watch that we can confidently recommend.
The selling price is 13,970,000 yen (tax included)
"Ref.5164R-001"
"Aquanaut Travel Time" 18KRG
Approximately five years after the introduction of the "Ref. 5164A-001," the "Aquanaut Travel Time" "Ref. 5164R-001" was released in 2016 with an 18KRG (rose gold) case.
The design combines a slightly glossy brown embossed dial with a tropical band made of a similar brown composite material, creating a watch that exudes sportiness yet elegance, exuding adult charm.
Like the Ref. 5164A-001, this model also features a 40.8mm case and a "Travel Time" mechanism, but the case thickness is kept to just 10.2mm, making it suitable for formal styles such as suits and jackets, as well as casual styles for your days off.
Although it is fitted with a tropical band (rubber band), it uses an 18KRG case, which gives it a moderate weight and a luxurious feel compared to a stainless steel case.
Many people are concerned about scratches on the bezel, case edges, and bezel surface of the Aquanaut and Nautilus models, but this particular watch is in excellent condition with barely any visible scratches, making it a highly recommended piece.
The skeleton case back reveals the Caliber 324 SC FUS, developed based on the Caliber 324 SC movement that has been used in the Aquanaut for many years. The 21K gold rotor is engraved with a Calatrava cross, and the main plate is beautifully beveled and engraved with a PP seal, showcasing the artistic finish that is unique to Patek Philippe.
The warranty is dated 2021 and is in excellent condition with little signs of wear. All accessories, including the warranty, booklets, and adjustment pins, are included. Furthermore, the pass case and box that holds them are also in excellent condition.
The selling price is 17,930,000 yen (tax included)
summary
What did you think?
Both of the watches we are introducing this time have new buckles and the warranty dates indicate that they are relatively old models, but the number of these models circulating on the market is very limited, so if you are looking for one, we would appreciate it if you would contact us as soon as possible!
We will continue to introduce as many attractive and recommended models as possible, so please look forward to the next issue!
See you next time!
