As some of you may already know, the official domestic sales price of Patek Philippe has increased since April 2025. This is probably due to the rise in global prices, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to purchase at an official store. On the other hand, the selling price on the secondary market will likely be very attractive, so the price of second-hand items may rise.
So, this time I would like to introduce you to some Grand Complication models with very attractive selling prices! Please stay with me until the end!
"Ref.5270/1R-001"
"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" 18KRG
The "Ref. 5270/1R-001" was released in 2018 and features an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet, and a bold black dial.
The basic layout is similar to previous Perpetual Calendar models. It follows the "Chronograph" model, but adds two new small windows that display the day/night indicator (at 7 and 8 o'clock) and the leap year cycle (at 4 and 5 o'clock).
Another unique feature is that the bottom part of the tachymeter scale on the outer edge of the dial is cut off so as not to interfere with the calendar displayed on the outer edge of the moon phase at the 6 o'clock position.
Incidentally, in the same year as the release of the "Ref. 5270/1R-001" introduced this time, the "Ref. 5270P-001" with a platinum case and golden opaline dial was also released. The dial has a very tasteful color called "salmon pink" or "copper", and the Arabic numerals are applied from the 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock positions. This one is also simply cool.
Although the black dial is the most standard color scheme for luxury watches, the combination of an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet with a black dial on such an exceptional model is actually quite rare. It exudes adult sexiness and can be summed up in one word: "cool."
The bezel has a curved design that can also be seen on the previous perpetual calendars, "Ref.1518" and "Ref.2499". The stepped lugs, commonly called "winglets" (like a bird's wings), are a very impressive design seen on "Ref.2499", but compared to the leather strap "Ref.5270", the bracelet design does not emphasize the lugs as much, giving it a cleaner impression.
The movement, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal skeleton back, is the fully in-house manufactured Cal. CH 29-535 PS Q. Despite being equipped with a perpetual calendar mechanism, the movement is only 7mm thick, which is quite impressive.
In addition to the perpetual calendar mechanism, it also has a chronograph, but with a case diameter of 41mm and a case thickness of 12.4mm, it is extremely comfortable to wear. The bracelet fits well on the wrist and the size feels just right on the wrist.
The warranty date is September 2021. Although there are some scratches and small marks, the case and bracelet are almost unpolished and in good condition. It comes with all the accessories and is priced reasonably, so it is especially recommended for those looking to wear it.
