"Aquanaut Jumbo" 18KWG
The Aquanaut Jumbo "Ref. 5168G-001" was released in 2017 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Aquanaut.
This model features a vivid black-graded blue dial and a tropical band of the same color, and is the first Aquanaut model to use 18KWG (white gold) for the case material, with a "jumbo" case diameter of 42.2mm, slightly larger than the previous "extra large" size of 40.8mm. However, the case thickness has been kept to 8.25mm, so the comfort and fit on the wrist are comparable to that of the "extra large".
When the watch was first introduced in 2017, for several years it used an 18KWG (white gold) folding buckle, but since around 2020 the specifications have been changed to the current folding buckle.
Compared to the previous model, the push buttons on both sides are larger and easier to press, making it easier to put on and take off. This specification has been adopted since the chronograph model "Ref. 5968A-001" released in 2018, and has been highly praised for its improved practicality and luxurious appearance.
This model is equipped with the current movement "Cal.26-330 SC," which is said to be in very limited circulation for the "Aquanaut." Compared to the previous movement "Cal.324 SC," there is no longer a time period during which the date cannot be changed, and it also has a hack function (second hand stop), making it a model more suitable for daily use.
By the way, the "Cal. 26-330 SC" is also installed in later production Nautilus "Ref. 5711" (after 2019), but since it has been installed in "Aquanaut" models manufactured from 2022 onwards, it is becoming less common on the market.
The warranty date is October 2022. There are some scratches and minor marks from use that are not very noticeable, but the case and buckle appear to have been unpolished and are in good condition. The accessories are also in good condition and come fully equipped.
