"Aquanaut Extra Large" 18KRG
The Aquanaut Extra Large, Ref. 5167R-001, was announced at Baselworld in 2009.
The glossy brown embossed dial and the color of the 18KRG (rose gold) case combine to create a sporty yet luxurious and elegant finish that is different from a SS (stainless steel) case.
With a case diameter of 40.8 mm and a case thickness of 8.1 mm, the watch is easy to match with not only formal attire such as suits and jackets, but also casual styles such as T-shirts and polo shirts.
In addition, while there are many Aquanaut models equipped with a wide variety of functions, I believe that the three-hand model with only the date is simple yet has a specification that you will not get tired of and can use for a long time.
Many people worry about scratches on the bezel, case edges, and surface of the bezel of the Aquanaut and Nautilus, but this watch only has minor scratches from use and is in good condition overall, with what appears to be non-polished finish. You can tell how good a watch is the moment you hold it in your hand.
The folding buckle is the same as the current Aquanaut and Nautilus models. Compared to conventional buckles, it is less likely to come off and has a more luxurious look.
The watch I'm introducing this time is equipped with the new movement, "Cal. 26-330 SC," which I find quite exciting, but I suspect that the switch will take place around April to May 2022.
By the way, the "Ref. 5167R-001", which is equipped with a new movement, seems to be very rare compared to models with SS (stainless steel) cases.
This movement has a hacking function (stop second function) and no time period during which the date cannot be changed, making it more suitable for everyday use. The 21K rotor engraved with the "Calatrava Cross" and the PP seal engraved on the beautifully beveled base plate are stunningly beautiful.
The warranty date is December 2022. All accessories are included, including a tag with a serial number.
