The Aquanaut Extra Large, Ref. 5167/1A-001, was released in 2008 with a stainless steel case and bracelet.
This is a popular model that is still on sale, along with the tropical band "Ref. 5167A-001". In recent years, it has become difficult to obtain this watch at authorized dealers, and it is also becoming less available on the secondary market, so the market price is gradually rising.
When you hear the name "Aquanaut," many people probably think of a tropical band, but the stainless steel bracelet version is rugged and masculine, and I personally really like it.
The biggest feature of the watch we are introducing this time is that it is equipped with the new movement, "Cal.26-330 SC."
My guess is that the new movement is only available in watches with warranty dates from April to May 2022 onwards, and there are very few of them on the market. Some of you may not understand what a "new movement" is, but what's great about it is that it has a hacking function (stop-second function)! There are so many people who want this specification, which is perfect for everyday use, that it often sells out immediately after it arrives.
By the way, this is only the third time that our store has stocked the "Ref. 5167/1A-001," which is equipped with a new movement, so you can see how rare it is.
It may look thicker than the tropical band model, but contrary to appearances, it is only 8.1mm thick, so even if you wear it in a business setting, you won't have any stress of it getting caught on the sleeves of your dress shirt. Of course, it also looks great when worn casually with a short-sleeved T-shirt.
The tropical band version of the "Ref. 5167A-001" is lightweight and easy to use, but the stainless steel bracelet version also comes with a nice weight to it, making it a recommended choice.
The warranty date is June 2024. This is an unused item (no bracelet adjustment) equipped with the new movement "Cal.26-330 SC".

"Aquanaut Travel Time" 18KWG
This is the new 2024 model "Aquanaut Travel Time" "Ref. 5164G-001" , which was first delivered just the other day but was immediately sold out.
We are not sure if the previous release was the catalyst, but we have successfully restocked it! ! The ease of use of the Aquanaut and the refreshing color that appeals to everyone make it one of the most popular models among the new releases of 2024.
The Aquanaut Extra Large has the same 40.8mm case diameter as the Ref. 5167 and is equipped with a travel time mechanism, but the case thickness has been reduced to just 10.2mm, making it extremely comfortable to wear. On the other hand, the travel time change buttons at the 8 and 10 o'clock positions create a visual impact, and the 18KWG (white gold) gives it a moderate sense of weight, making it a model with an exquisite balance.
The combination of the blue-gray composite strap with the same color as the dial is perfect for the upcoming summer season, and wearing this watch with a casual outfit would be just too cool! By the way, it's been almost 15 years since the Aquanaut Travel Time was first released, but am I the only one who feels like it's a new model?
"Travel Time" is a feature that will be especially useful for those who travel abroad.
Now, I would like to give a brief explanation of how to use the Travel Time mechanism.
The travel time mechanism refers to a mechanism that displays the time in two time zones simultaneously. The dial has two hour hands, the normal hour hand displays the time in LOCAL (local area, place of stay) and the skeleton hour hand displays the time in HOME (place of departure, home, workplace, etc.).
How to use and how to read
- Small windows at 3 o'clock for HOME and 9 o'clock for LOCAL distinguish between day and night (6am to 6pm: white, 6pm to 6am: blue)
- Change the time zone by pressing the buttons on the side of the case at 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock (normal hour hand)
▶Press the push button at the 8 o'clock position to advance the time by one hour. ▶Press the push button at the 10 o'clock position to advance the time by one hour. ▶The date display at the 12 o'clock position is linked to LOCAL TIME.
*There is a small button on the side of the case at the 4 o'clock position on the dial to fast-forward the calendar.
The movement that can be seen from the skeleton back is the "Cal.26-330 SC FUS," which is equipped with a travel time mechanism and is part of the "Cal.26-330 SC" with a hack function (second hand stop) and no longer has a time period when the date cannot be changed. The 21K rotor engraved with the Calatrava mark is simply beautiful.
In addition, the protective sticker still remains on the surface of the current folding buckle. The tropical band, which is the same color as the dial, has already been adjusted to the size, but the length is about 18 cm, which is plenty.
The warranty date is June 2024, and all accessories are included. The belt has been adjusted, but it is an unused item with no storage scratches.
