Good evening everyone.
The first quarter of 2024 has come to an end, and it's time for new product announcements. In previous years, there were many rumors circulating, such as "X will be announced?", but this year, we have hardly heard any at all. Is this the "calm before the storm" as they call it?
Personally, I'm secretly hoping that they'll release a model based on the Calatrava Ref. 96. I'm hoping that they'll release a new model that will please fans of the Nautilus and Aquanaut. Let's wait for the new model to be announced while guessing what kind of model it will be.
So, this time I would like to introduce a model that is rare but offers great value compared to the current manufacturer's suggested retail price. Please read to the end!
"Ref.5370P-011"
"Split-Second Chronograph" PT
The Split Second Chronograph "Ref. 5370P-011" was released in 2020 and features a beautiful "Grand Feu enamel" blue dial.
With its vibrant and modern design, it is no exaggeration to say that this is one of Patek Philippe's most representative models today.
Incidentally, the "Ref. 5370P" first appeared in 2015. The first was the "Ref. 5370P-001," which featured a combination of black enamel and Arabic indexes with Breguet numerals, and was finished in a classical and alluring design. We have sold two of these in our shop, but they are still extremely rare on the market, making them a very rare model.
Now, I would like to briefly explain the "Grand Feu" dial specification of the model we are introducing this time, as many of you may not be familiar with it.
When you look at the bright blue genuine enamel dial with its uniform luster, you cannot help but feel the high level of technical skill of Patek Philippe.
The case diameter is 41mm, and its shape is reminiscent of the historic model "Ref. 1436." On the other hand, new designs have been incorporated, such as a satin finish on the recessed area in the center of the case side, and at the same time, it has evolved.
*The "Ref. 1436" appeared in the late 1930s and was produced for over 30 years, but it is one of the historic models equipped with a "split-second chronograph" and is said to have been produced in extremely small numbers.
The hand-wound movement "Cal. CHR 29-535 PS", which can be viewed through the skeleton back, is a complex mechanism that includes a split-second function as well as a proprietary Gyromax balance, making it a movement specialized for "split-seconds". This three-dimensional movement, which consists of a total of 312 parts, is artistic and extremely beautiful, and is so skillfully crafted that you will never tire of looking at it.
The warranty date is June 2022. There are wrinkles on the alligator strap due to storage, but it is an unused item that has never been worn.
The selling price is 29,700,000 yen (tax included)

The manufacturer's suggested retail price as of March 2024 is: 44,860,000 yen (tax included) . That's a saving of about 15 million yen compared to the manufacturer's suggested retail price! Although it is a model that is rarely available on the market, it is unused and the selling price is kept low, so it is especially recommended for those who are looking for it. It is unlikely that the manufacturer's suggested retail price in Japan will go down in the future, and it is likely to continue to rise, so we recommend that those who are looking for it consider it as soon as possible!
summary
What did you think.
Of course, it depends on the model, but the movement (turnover) of Patek Philippe watches at our store has been very fast recently. One reason is that the discrepancy between the manufacturer's suggested retail price and the price on the secondary market is leading to purchasing action, but for those who are considering buying, the situation is still favorable. We have no idea when the next shipment will be, so if you are looking for one, don't miss this opportunity!
We hope to continue providing you with as much useful information as possible, so please look forward to the next Patek discussion.
see you!
