Good evening everyone.

Just when you thought it was finally getting more comfortable, the weather suddenly turned wintery last weekend, and many people are probably scrambling to get their winter clothes ready. It's easy to get sick during the change of seasons, so please take good care of yourself.

Well, this time we have a rare and popular "Chronograph" model in stock, so we would like to introduce it to you! Please read to the end.

『Chronograph』18KWG

A new release for 2022 is the "Chronograph" "Ref. 5172G-010" with an 18KWG (white gold) case and rose gold-plated opaline dial.

The case size is 41mm, the same as the "Ref. 5172G-001" announced as a new model in 2019, but perhaps due to the elegance unique to Patek Philippe, the size does not feel that large and it gives an impression of being very sophisticated.

I'm going off topic a little, but in recent years, the number of models with this opaline dial has been increasing, and I feel that it is a trend within Patek Philippe. So, I would like to give you a brief introduction.

First up is the "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" "Ref. 5270P-001," which we recently stocked in our store.

While following the design of previous "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" models, the use of black for the hands, indexes, subdials, tachymeter scale, etc. ensures high visibility.

Next up is the "World Time Flyback Chronograph" "Ref. 5935A-001," which was announced as a new model for fall 2022 and is currently in stock at our store.

This watch, which features a carbon-like design in the center of the dial, appears to be based on the Ref. 6007A-001, which was released in 2020 as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces to commemorate the opening of the new Geneva factory.

And then there's the ultra-classic model "Quadrable Complication Tokyo 2023" (Ref. 5308P-010), which was announced at the Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition Tokyo 2023 held in Japan.

Equipped with a minute repeater and perpetual calendar, the 17mm thick watch is a masterpiece. It will be sold only in Tokyo in conjunction with the Grand Exhibition, and is limited to 15 pieces. I look forward to the day when I can see it.

Let's get back to the "Ref. 5172G-010" we are introducing this time.

The opaline dial features Arabic numerals and syringe-shaped hands, giving the watch a strong vintage feel.

The attention to detail is also evident, such as the distinctive stepped lugs and round pushers with guilloche engraving, which are mainly seen in models from the 1940s and 1950s.

The movement seen through the skeleton case back is the "Cal. CH 29-535 PS", which has been developed and manufactured entirely in-house and has been used continuously since the previous "Ref. 5170". It boasts an impeccable performance with a power reserve of approximately 65 hours.

The warranty date is July 2022, and all accessories are included. As for the condition, there are only minor scratches that cannot be seen with the naked eye, and it is an excellent item in extremely good condition. As it is a new model for 2022, there are few on the market and the selling price is kept low, so we especially recommend it to those who are looking for one.

The selling price you are interested in is...

That's what I wanted to say, but it ended up going on sale right before this column was published... Just like last time, I'm really sorry!!!

There are some watches that we were not able to introduce this time, so we will quickly introduce the "Ref. 5172G-001" that we mentioned briefly in the first half!

The "Ref. 5172G-001" comes with a combination of an 18KWG (white gold) case and a blue dial with a matte varnish finish.

It has an elegant and gorgeous finish, and its design is reminiscent of a pilot's watch, so it can be worn both on and off the job.

The warranty date is 2020. There are slight storage scratches, but it is an unused item that has never been worn. This item is also rare on the market and has an attractive selling price, so we highly recommend it.

The selling price is 8,976,000 yen (tax included)

I've lined up the "Ref.5172G-010" and "Ref.5172G-001"! Both are rare and I don't think you'll have a chance to see them side by side like this, so I hope you'll compare them and get a sense of the quality of these models! I want both of them... (laughs)

summary

Following on from last time, we introduced Patek Philippe's chronograph models. What did you think?

The "Ref. 5172G" chronograph has an antique and vintage feel. I don't think the photos do justice to it, so please come and see it in store! Also, if you're already interested but are undecided, I'll be happy to give you a push, so please feel free to contact me! (laughs)
