Good evening everyone.

As we enter September, the mornings and evenings are becoming relatively comfortable, but how are you all doing? It seems that out-of-season influenza is going around, and elementary and junior high schools are closing down classes one after another. Please be sure to take care of your health.

Well, today we have received the superb model "Nautilus Chronograph Travel Time" "Ref. 5990/1R-001", so we would like to introduce it to you! This is a rare model that we are handling for the first time in our store, so please read to the end!

"Ref.5990/1R-001"
"Nautilus Chronograph Travel Time" 18KRG

The "Nautilus Chronograph Travel Time" series' long-awaited 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet model, "Ref. 5990/1R-001," was released in 2021.

This model, which has a beautiful contrast with the blue sunburst dial, is equipped with three complications: flyback chronograph, travel time, and local date display, making it a model that embodies Patek Philippe's technological expertise.

Before we get into the main topic, let's briefly review the Nautilus Chronograph Travel Time series.

The "Ref. 5990/1A-001" with a stainless steel case was announced as a new model for 2014.

The black gradation dial, which looks a little darker gray, has a modern and cool impression, unlike the classic atmosphere of the traditional Nautilus. It was discontinued in 2022, which is regrettable, but it is a very popular item in the secondary market.

Next up is the new model we will be introducing today, the Nautilus Chronograph Travel Time "Ref. 5990/1R-001."

As mentioned above, this is a top-of-the-line model that combines beautiful design with excellent functionality. With a case diameter of 40.5mm and a case thickness of 12.53mm, it has a solid feel, but the integrated bracelet is extremely comfortable to wear, making this a watch without complaint.

The "Ref.5990/1A-011" was released in 2022 as an evolution of the "Ref.5990/1A-001".

The basic structure is the same as before, but the new Cal.CH 28-520 C FUS, which adds travel time to the masterpiece Cal.CH 28-520, and the 4mm extension function make it much more practical. This is a product that has not yet been stocked in our store, so we look forward to the day when we can see it.

Returning to the topic at hand, the blue sunburst dial features a horizontal embossed pattern and 18KRG (rose gold) parts throughout, including the hour and minute hands and the edges of the indexes, which, combined with the case and bracelet, give it an elegant and glamorous impression.

In addition, the dial is fully utilized with a 60-minute counter at 6 o'clock, a date display at 12 o'clock, and HOME/LOCAL displays at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock. Since one watch has multiple functions, the design tends to be a little noisy, but the way it is neatly and easily readable is something only Patek Philippe can achieve.

As mentioned above, the "Ref. 5990/1R-001" is not only stylish but also extremely practical, and the Travel Time mechanism in particular will be extremely useful for anyone who travels abroad.

Here's a quick refresher on how to use the travel time mechanism.

The travel time mechanism refers to a mechanism that displays the time in two time zones simultaneously. The dial has two hour hands, the normal hour hand shows the time in LOCAL (local area, place of stay) and the skeleton hour hand shows the time in HOME (place of departure, home, workplace, etc.).

how to use
The small windows at 3 o'clock for HOME (starting point) and 9 o'clock for LOCAL (local location) allow you to distinguish between day and night
Press the up and down buttons at 9 o'clock on the side of the case to change the LOCAL TIME (forward and backward every hour)
The date display at the 12 o'clock position is linked to the local time

There is no need to set the date separately; you can easily adjust the date and time with the push of a button, making it hassle-free and easy to use.

The movement that can be seen through the back of the skeleton case is the same "Cal. CH 28-520 C FUS" as "Ref. 5990/1A-011". In addition to the chronograph mechanism, it also has a travel time mechanism, giving it an impressive size. It also weighs 265g, making it heavier than it looks.

The warranty date is 2021. It comes with all the accessories and is in good condition. Although there is some discoloration due to aging and minor scratches due to storage, it is an unused item that has never been worn.

The selling price is 42,460,000 yen (tax included)
