Lot.801
"Nautilus Petit Complication" SS
"Ref.5712/1A-001"

Sold for HKD 635,000 (JPY 11,506,200)

The Nautilus Petite Complication "Ref. 5712/1A-001" is popular among Japanese people due to its size that is suitable for everyday use.

Judging from the warranty date, it was manufactured relatively early, and the movement is engraved with the "Geneva Seal." With all accessories included, the auction price was very reasonable and close to the current market price.

Lot.802
"Nautilus" SS
"Ref.5711/1A-001"

Sold for HKD 698,500 (JPY 12,656,820)

The "Ref. 5711/1A-001" was always highly popular and led the brand from 2006, the 30th anniversary of the birth of the Nautilus, until production ended in 2021.

The simple design with a stainless steel case, three hands, and only a date display gained popularity, and even though it has been discontinued, it still fetches high prices. Although this watch was sold in 2017, which is a relatively old model, I think it sold at a reasonable price.

Lot.803
"Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph" SS
"Ref.5990/1A-001"

Sold for HKD 825,500 (JPY 14,958,060)

The "Ref. 5990/1A-001" was produced from 2014 to 2022 and gives the impression of expressing the previous image of the "Nautilus" in a more modern style.

The case is somewhat thick due to the inclusion of the "Travel Time" and "Chronograph" functions, and the combination of the SS (stainless steel) case and gray dial makes a very striking impression when worn. It's stylish and cool! That's all there is to it. This is the last model sold in 2021, and it also sold for a reasonable price.

Lot.807
"Aquanaut" 18KWG
"Ref.5168G-001"

Sold for HKD 508,000 (JPY 9,204,960)

The "Ref. 5168G-001" was released in 2017 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the birth of the Aquanaut, and is called a "jumbo" size with a case diameter of 42.2 mm.

The combination of the black gradient blue dial, tropical band, and 18KWG (white gold) case is very elegant and luxurious. Although it is an early production model, it is in good condition and has a great price.

Lot.808
"Aquanaut Chronograph" SS
"Ref.5968A-001"

Sold for HKD 952,500 (JPY 17,259,300)

The "Ref. 5968A-001" was released as a new model in 2018 and is also referred to as a "jumbo" size with a case diameter of 42.2mm.

The orange design, which is used throughout the chronograph hands, counter hands, tropical band, and memory, has attracted attention and has been very popular since its release. Compared to last year, when the prices of many watches were soaring, the price of this model has now settled down, but it has remained stable. As this model is being sold in the latter part of 2021, the winning bid price is quite reasonable.

Lot.821
"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" PT
"Ref.5270P-001"

Sold for HKD 1,397,000 (JPY 25,313,640)

The "Ref. 5270P-001" was released in 2018 with the long-awaited PT (platinum) case of this series.

The key point is the unique dial, which features a dial color called "copper" or "copper" that has been used for classic and special models, and Arabic numerals applied from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock. There are models of "Ref. 5270" in various materials and colors, but this is my top pick. I think the winning bid price is very reasonable , and it's one of the models I'm looking forward to seeing in the future .

Lot.851
"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" PT
"Ref.5971P-001"

Sold for HKD 2,413,000 (JPY 43,723,560)

The gorgeous "Ref. 5971P-001" features baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel and buckle, and diamonds set in the dial indexes.

This model, which has the same specifications as the "Ref. 5970," is the last "perpetual calendar chronograph" equipped with a Lemania-based movement. This particular watch was delivered in an unopened plastic "single-sealed" condition. Since there are few of these on the market, the winning bid was very reasonable.

Lot.898
"Perpetual Calendar Chronosplit" 18KRG
"Ref.5004R-014"

Sold for HKD 1,778,000 (JPY 32,217,360)

The "Ref.5004R-014" is a perpetual calendar equipped with a split-second chronograph.

This is a high-end model of the popular "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" "Ref. 3970" equipped with a Lemania-based movement, and the combination of Arabic numerals, in-dial design, and leaf hands makes it a very cool watch. The large crown with split button adds impact to the slightly small 37mm case diameter, making it feel larger than its actual size. There is no warranty, but an archive closed case back and adjustment pin are included. I thought the winning bid price was a little high, but it is a very attractive item, so I'm convinced!

Lot.917
"World Time TIFFANY & CO." PT
"Ref.5110P-001 "

Sold for HKD 660,400 (JPY 11,966,448)

The first "World Time" watch, Ref. 5110P, was released in 2000, the start of the millennium.

The PT (platinum) case has a blue guilloched subdial, and it seems that there are very few of these on the market these days. When you look at the winning bid amount, many people may think, "Huh? That's quite a high price," and that's no surprise. It's actually a rare double-name model with [TIFFANY & CO.]!!

If you're wondering, "Is it really a double name?", look at the case side at 9 o'clock. There it is! And it's engraved! For such a rare model, this winning bid price is definitely a bargain!

Lot.925
"Minute Repeater Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Retrograde" PT
"Ref.5016P-018"

Sold for HKD 5,461,000 (JPY 98,953,320)

The "Ref. 5016P-018" is a "transcendent" model packed with complex mechanisms including a "perpetual calendar", "tourbillon", "minute repeater", and "retrograde".

Although the number of production of this model is already small, the combination of a platinum case, black dial, and applied Breguet numerals and Breguet hands is particularly popular and extremely rare on the market. In the past, we have handled only one of these watches in our shop, and despite being a high-priced model, we have received multiple back orders. The winning bid, complete with all accessories, was approximately 100 million yen! It is astonishing, but it is understandable.

Lot.937
『Chronograph』18KWG
"Ref.5070G-001"

Sold for HKD 596,900 (JPY 10,815,828)

The "Ref. 5070G-001" was manufactured from around 2002 to around 2006, and features an 18KWG (white gold) case and a silver dial, creating a cool look.

The Ref. 5070, which is equipped with the Lemania-based movement Cal. 27-70 CHR, first appeared in 1998. Based on the Chronograph Split Seconds aviator watch manufactured in the 1940s, the Ref. 5070J-001 was released with a 42mm diameter 18KYG (yellow gold) case and black dial. In fact, many Ref. 5070s were offered at this PHILLIPS auction, including 18KWG (white gold), 18KYG (yellow gold), and PT (platinum), but we featured the Ref. 5070G-001, which we recently handled in our store. We told the customer who purchased this that it was a model to look forward to in the future, and it turned out to be a result that we can look forward to in the future!

Lot.947
"Perpetual Chronograph" 18KYG
"Ref.5970J-001"

Sold for HKD 1,397,000 (JPY 25,313,640)

The Ref. 5970J-001 was released in 2008, but production ceased the following year, making it an extremely short-lived model.

The "Ref. 5970" is available in four materials: 18KYG (yellow gold), 18KWG (white gold), 18KRG (rose gold), and PT (platinum). This model is said to have been produced in the smallest number of cases, making it the rarest. It is highly popular for its design, which gives off a glamorous yet elegant and intellectual impression. The winning bid was a very good deal, but due to its rarity, we are looking forward to seeing how the price changes at future auctions and on the market.

summary

What did you think.

To sum up the results of this Philips auction, the models that are available on the market were sold at prices close to the current market price, while rare antique and vintage models tended to sell at higher prices. With that in mind, it seems likely that the prices of rare models will rise even higher in the future.

We have a wide selection of attractive Patek Philippe watches in our store, so we look forward to seeing you there. We also have a limited number of CTGs left! We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy buying and selling watches.

see you!
