Good evening everyone.
The Qatar World Cup, which has been getting more and more exciting every day, has finally decided on the top four! Unfortunately, the Japanese national team was eliminated in the best 16, but they put up a great fight, defeating strong countries such as Germany and Spain, and I think many people were encouraged by their performance. I hope that they will make it through the best 16 and even win the 2026 World Cup.
Today, we would like to introduce the popular "W Name" model that has arrived at Commit Ginza (hereinafter referred to as our store) for the first time in a long time.
Recently, at the PHILLIPS auction held in Hong Kong, several "double-name" models were put up for auction, and considering the current market conditions, they fetched a reasonable price, proving that good and popular models do not falter. Let's take a look.
"Ref.5167/1A-001"
"Aquanaut TIFFANY & CO." SS
In 2007, the third-generation Aquanaut, which is also the current model, was released with a tropical band in the extra large size "Ref. 5167A-001" and the large size "Ref. 5165A-001". The large size inherited the 38mm case size of the second-generation "Ref. 5065", but there was no demand at the time, and production ended after only one or two years. The following year, in 2008, the SS (stainless steel) bracelet model was released, which is the "Ref. 5167/1A-001" that we are introducing this time. It is very popular and extremely difficult to purchase at a domestic authorized dealer. You can understand that the "double name" with "TIFFANY & CO." is even rarer among such models. In the past, we have received and sold both the SS (stainless steel) bracelet model and the tropical band model, but this time we have received it for the first time in a long time, so we would like to introduce it to you.
Patek Philippe watches have been sold in Tiffany & Co. boutiques across the United States since 1851. Tiffany & Co. is the oldest retailer of Patek Philippe in the United States.
*Currently, the double-name model is only sold at TIFFANY & CO. boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco.
In 2001, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of their partnership, they released the "T150 Ref.5150" with an annual calendar in a hunter case. In 2008, they opened the first Patek Philippe salon in the United States in the Tiffany & Co. flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York, and in 2013, they released a special edition Tiffany & Co. annual calendar "Ref.5396G" limited to 100 pieces to commemorate their 5th anniversary. From these points, you can see that the relationship between the two companies is special.
As you may remember, just about a year ago, the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-018, a "double-name" model with a Tiffany Blue dial, was released in a limited edition of 170 pieces to celebrate their long-standing partnership. It's a luxurious collaboration model that's perfect for marking the finale of the Ref. 5711/1A. Incidentally, this model was put up for auction at the PHILLIPS auction held in New York in December of last year, and sold for about 730 million yen at the exchange rate at the time.
I've digressed a bit, so let's get back to the point. I've seen many regular Aquanauts, the Ref. 5167/1A-001, but I still get excited when I see the "TIFFANY & CO." printed in white above the 6 o'clock position on the dial index. This is another point that tickles the hearts of enthusiasts.
The Ref. 5167/1A-001 is equipped with the new movement Cal. 26-330 SC, which has a warranty date of 2022 and is still rare on the market. The Ref. 5168G-001, which we previously introduced, was the first Aquanaut model equipped with the new movement to be handled by our store.
The bezels of the Nautilus and Aquanaut are prone to scratches and are therefore highly visible, so there is a strong tendency to prefer non-polished models. However, this model is equipped with a new movement, is unused (no bracelet adjustments have been made), and is also a "double name" with "TIFFANY & CO.", so we can confidently recommend this model. By the way, although it was a single-sealed model, at the PHILLIPS auction held in Hong Kong at the end of last month, the "TIFFANY & CO." double name model "Ref. 5711/1A-010" was sold for approximately 33.75 million yen at the Japanese yen exchange rate immediately prior to the auction. I think this is a great model that can be worn or kept as a collection piece without being worn.
All accessories are included, and the pass case, booklets, box, etc. are in pristine condition, and of course the warranty card has the Tiffany & Co. shop stamp firmly stamped on it. Of course, the "W name" markings are on the dial, but it is also very important that they are printed on the warranty card, so I have no choice but to say that this is perfect.
The selling price is 18,810,000 (tax included)

[TIFFANY & CO.] "W Name" is a very reasonable price, considering that the selling price of popular models such as "Nautilus" and "Aquanaut" is often set at about twice the price of the regular model, or even more. Also, I don't think that the model with the new movement is available in Japan, or even on overseas sales sites such as "Chrono24", so I especially recommend it.
summary
What did you think.
We have introduced a rare "double-name" model by Tiffany & Co., but we think it will be difficult to find one in such perfect condition at this price again in the future. If you are looking for one, we recommend that you grab it as soon as possible.
There is not much time left this year and the weather is getting colder, so please be sure to take care of your health.
see you!
