hello everyone.

The other day, a staff member at Commit Ginza who loves sneakers excitedly told me, "Mr. Abe! DIOR and JORDAN are collaborating!" When I listened to the story, I found out that the retail price of these sneakers was over 200,000 yen! (laughs) High-end brands are scary...

I found it hard to understand, but when I thought about it carefully, I realized that collaborations between high-end brands and the like, or "double-name" products, are indeed very rare and are always released in limited quantities, which I think overlaps with the watch industry.

So, this time I would like to focus on the so-called "double-name" Patek Philippe watches, which are considered to be rarer among Patek Philippe watches and which include the names of watchmakers, jewelers, and other brand names.

Men are extremely weak when it comes to limited editions and collaborations, so I hope that after reading this you'll be thinking "I want it!" (laughs)

Famous store

There are so many that it would be quite a difficult task to list them all, so I will introduce some of the more well-known stores.

Hausemann&CO, a long-established watch shop in Rome *Often seen in antique watches

And the prestigious Swiss jewelry store "GUBELIN" * (If you're not a watch lover, you might not know this.)

WEMPE, a luxury watch and jewelry store founded in Germany

Among them, "WEMPE" is celebrating its 125th anniversary and some people may still be familiar with the "Ref. 5125," which is an annual calendar version of the legendary Patek Philippe perpetual calendar "Ref. 3448."

The case design, screw-down crown, etc. make this a special watch. The production numbers are 100 for PT (platinum), 125 each for 18KPG (pink gold), 18KWG (white gold), and 18KYG (yellow gold), and although Commit Ginza has a track record of selling WG cases, we would love to carry the 100-piece limited edition PT case, which has an exceptionally cool black dial and red dots.

Famous Brands

When you hear the term "double name," the first thing that comes to mind is probably famous brands. The top names that come to mind are probably the high-end French jewelry store "Cartier" and the famous American silverware brand "Tiffany & Co."

In particular, Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe have a long history together, and Tiffany has been carrying Patek Philippe watches since 1851.

In 2001, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of their partnership, they released the T150 Ref. 5150, a hunter case watch with an annual calendar.

In 2008, the first Patek Philippe salon in the United States opened inside Tiffany's flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York, and in 2013, Tiffany released a limited edition special edition of the annual calendar, Ref. 5396G, to commemorate the fifth anniversary.

Unfortunately, you can't buy Patek Philippe watches at Tiffany & Co. in Japan, but in addition to the special models listed above, regular Patek Philippe models are sold at a limited number of Tiffany & Co. boutiques in the United States. I occasionally see watches with "Tiffany & Co." on the dial, and I wonder if I'm the only one who feels that special feeling (lol).

Collaboration with other popular models

Until now, we have seen many "double-name" models of Patek Philippe watches with Tiffany, but what is truly not to be missed are the "double-name" models with popular models.

Nautilus "Ref. 3700"

Aquanaut "Ref.5167/1A"

Aquanaut "Ref.5167A"

In addition, there are many "W name" models that we cannot show in the images, including some extremely rare models such as the World Time "Ref. 5110" and the Aquanaut "Ref. 5066" which are engraved directly on the 9 o'clock side of the case.

When you consider the "double name" with the Nautilus and Aquanaut, which already command premium prices, the price is now set at an incredible level.

"Ref.5396G-014"

Commit Ginza has sold many "W Names", including some that have been featured on our website and some that have not.

This time, we would like to introduce the "Ref. 5396G-014," which is a very similar model to the "Ref. 5396G" black dial model, limited to 100 pieces, released in 2013 and introduced above, which is still popular and rare today, and which is available only at Tiffany & Co. boutiques in New York. It has a grey dial and Arabic indexes that look very cool.

What a surprise! This model is on sale today!

If you are interested, please apply quickly.

summary

This time, we focused on the "double name" and talked about it. What did you think? I'm sure there are many people who wanted to buy a Patek Philippe at TIFFANY in the US. (laughs)

Of course, it's not an easy place to get to, but if you get the chance, it's definitely worth checking out.

Although stocks are irregular, Commit Ginza carries the "Double Name" of Patek Philippe more often than other stores. Please check our website at any time to look forward to new products.
