hello everyone.

This time, we will be looking at the Christies exhibition held in Hong Kong on Tuesday, May 24th. I would like to talk about this based on the auction results of " . As I mentioned last time, recent auction results are a very useful source of information for understanding the real market situation.

By the way, the special watches in stock at Commit Ginza (hereafter referred to as our store) are also on sale, so you can immediately see how "reasonable" our store is. (laughs) I hope you will enjoy reading this article while also looking at these points.

*The price is the winning auction price plus a commission fee (26%).
*The exchange rate for Japanese yen will be based on the rate immediately prior to the auction.
*HKD (Hong Kong dollar) = 16.72 yen *With some exceptions, images are from Christie's.

Lot.2222
"Aquanaut" Travel Time Advanced Research 18KWG
"Ref.5650G-001"

HKD 5,292,000 (JPY 88,482,240)

This watch was released in 2017 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Aquanaut, with a worldwide limited edition of 500 pieces. It is equipped with a travel time mechanism in an 18KWG (white gold) case, and the dial is open at 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock, allowing you to experience Patek Philippe's technological innovations up close. The Ref. 5711/1P-001, released in 2016 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus, was limited to 700 pieces worldwide, and the Ref. 5796/1G-001 was limited to 1,300 pieces worldwide, so you can see how difficult it was to obtain these models at the time. We are absolutely confident in our handling of Patek Philippe, but we only know a few people who have purchased them through authorized dealers. We have handled one watch in the past, but to be honest, we can't hide our surprise at the recent auction prices. (laughs)

Lot.2223
"Aquanaut" Chronograph 18KWG
"Ref.5968G-001"

HKD 1,764,000 (JPY 29,494,080)

New for 2021 are the Ref. 5968G-001 with a midnight blue dial and the Ref. 5968G-010 with a khaki green dial, both of which feature an 18KWG (white gold) case. Until now, the Aquanaut chronographs have only had stainless steel cases, giving off a very sporty impression, but the combination of an 18KWG (white gold) case and a midnight blue dial gives off an elegant and gorgeous impression. The watch on offer this time was unused, but the winning bid was quite reasonable. We recently sold it at a very reasonable price in our store. This result is good news for those who bought it!

Lot.2224
"Aquanaut" Extra Large SS
"Ref.5167A-010"

HKD 2,772,000 (JPY 46,347,840)

At first glance, it looks like a "jumbo" size 18KWG (white gold) case "Ref. 5168G-010", right? If you think so, this is the extra large size "Aquanaut" in SS (stainless steel). The khaki green "Ref. 5167A" was sold in extremely small numbers, only to selected VIP customers. When it comes to models like this, the price is just not worth it.

Lot.2225
"Aquanaut" Extra Large 18KWG
"Ref.5167/300G-010"

CHF 3,654,000 (JPY 61,094,880)

This is a special edition watch with an extra-large 18KWG (white gold) case and baguette-cut diamonds set on the bezel, lugs, and case sides. According to the product details, there were probably only 10 pieces produced. I was lucky enough to see this model once in the past, but I think there are many people who don't even know it exists. When I saw it in person, it had an incredible presence. This was the first time it was offered at an overseas auction.

Lot.2226
Nautilus Large Platinum
"Ref.5711/110P-001"

HKD 5,292,000 (JPY 88,482,240)

Yet another incredible model has arrived. This is an extremely rare model with a platinum case, 32 baguette-cut diamonds set on the bezel and 12 baguette-cut diamonds set on the dial index. Only two have been offered at overseas auctions in the past. This is because, in fact, this model can only be purchased by those who have been personally guided by Patek Philippe. The winning bid of approximately 90 million yen is no surprise.

Lot.2228
Nautilus Chronograph 18KWG
"Ref.5976/1G"

HKD 7,560,000 (JPY 126,403,200)

Released in 2016 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus, this model was released in a worldwide limited edition of 1,300 pieces. It features an 18KWG (white gold) case and bracelet and is the largest case diameter in the history of the Nautilus at 44mm, an unprecedented model.

Not only are the case size, bucket-cut diamond indexes, and "1976-40-2016" engraving unique to the 40th anniversary model, but the watch being auctioned this time also comes complete with unused accessories, making it a true collector's piece.

To be honest, considering the recent state of the watch market, this winning bid was a pleasant surprise, but in fact, we currently have this model in stock at our store !!!

This is a highly recommended piece that has just come out of an overhaul and case/bracelet finishing at the manufacturer.

As many of you may know, when you have your watch overhauled by the manufacturer, it comes back with a sticker on the back cover. We haven't removed this yet! Normally, it comes back vacuum-packed, but we couldn't check the condition or take photos, so we just opened it. (laughs)

Accessories such as warranty cards are very important for this model, and this watch comes in good condition with not only a limited edition certificate commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus, but also a faithful reproduction of the special cork box used when the Nautilus "Jumbo" Ref. 3700/1 was released in 1976. The watch is in very good condition and comes with all the accessories, making it a recommended watch in every respect.

The selling price is 78,980,000 yen (tax included)

By the way, this model was in stock about three months ago, but it was sold immediately. It is no exaggeration to say that there are no similar models sold in Japan at the time or now. Currently, it is priced at just under 90 million yen (excluding tax) on a certain famous overseas website, and it is a rare model that is unlikely to be restocked in the future.

Of course, it's not a cheap purchase, but for those who are considering it, this is a great opportunity! If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
