Good evening everyone.

Although it has been raining and chilly recently, the temperature is gradually rising and the number of spring-like days is increasing. As someone who gets hot easily, there are many days when short sleeves are just right, and it is finally the season when more attention is paid to the arms. This time, I would like to introduce " Aquanaut ", which can of course be worn all year round and is especially recommended for the upcoming season. Please enjoy until the end.

"Ref.5165A-001"
"Aquanaut" Large SS

In 2007, the third generation (current model) "Aquanaut" extra large "Ref. 5167A-001" was announced at the same time as the large size "Ref. 5165A-001".

The case size is 38mm, inherited from the second generation "Ref. 5065". It is the same as the "Nautilus" medium size "Ref. 5800/1A-001", but it is a model with an extremely short production period. Its production period is thought to have been one year to two years at most.

The second-generation Aquanaut, the Ref. 5065, has a dial design with a pronounced uneven surface, giving it a rugged and masculine impression among Patek Philippe models. In contrast, the current model, the Ref. 5167A-001, has no uneven surface on the dial, giving it a clean and easy-to-read design.

Many Japanese people have thin wrists, so 38mm is a size that is in high demand. The second generation Aquanaut was available in 38mm (large) "Ref.5065" and 34mm (medium) "Ref.5066", but the bracelet width was the same, whereas the third generation "Ref.5165A-001" and "Re.5167A-001" have different widths and the tropical band is a special size.

The movement that can be seen through the skeleton back is the stable "Cal.324 SC AIG.3" that has been used in the "Nautilus" for many years, and the engraving of the "Geneva Seal" makes it even rarer.

Although there are some small scratches and marks from use, it appears to have only been lightly polished in the past, and the case and buckle are sturdy and very impressive. The tropical band is also in good condition, so if the size fits, you can wear it as is. The warranty documents and accessories are also in good condition. This is a popular model with a short production period and limited stock, so it is also recommended as a collection piece.

The selling price is 9,295,000 yen (tax included)

It's in good condition, comes with a warranty and all accessories, and while it may sound like an exaggeration, I think this price is the "cheapest in the world"!!

"Ref.5167/1A-001"
"Aquanaut" Extra Large SS

The Ref. 5167/1A-001 with a stainless steel bracelet was released in 2008.

When people hear the name "Aquanaut," they think of the tropical band version and many want to purchase it, but I have always recommended purchasing the bracelet version.

The reason is that, for any model, when it comes to bracelet and band specifications, the former is usually in higher demand and higher in both the official retail price and the secondary market, whereas the Aquanaut has almost no difference in price in the secondary market. What I'm trying to say is that if you first purchase the bracelet version "Ref. 5167/1A-001" and then later purchase the tropical band and the special folding buckle, you can enjoy both specifications at a reasonable price. I may have exaggerated this a bit, but I think this is an important point since it's by no means a cheap purchase.
*It may be possible to purchase a stainless steel bracelet, but it would likely be quite expensive.

The movement seen through the skeleton case back is the same "Cal.Cal.324 SC AIG.3" as "Ref.5165A-001". It's beautiful from any angle.

Since there is no warranty card, it is difficult to know the exact date of sale of the watch, but the seal on the movement is a "PP seal," which indicates that it was manufactured after 2009. All other accessories, including the box, are included, and the condition of the case and bracelet are also very good, making this a recommended watch.

The selling price is 8,888,000 yen (tax included)

I can honestly say that this price is incredibly reasonable given the current market conditions. If you are interested, please give it a try!

summary

What did you think.

It is very difficult to gauge the price trends and market sentiment of the Nautilus and Aquanaut, but the two Aquanauts that I have recommended this time are two that I can recommend in terms of both condition and price.
