Vintage and semi-vintage models each have their own unique charm. Individual differences are likely to be evident, so it can be hard to know which one to choose. So, from the perspective of a professional who has handled many models, I would like to introduce a selection of models that I really recommend, sorted by price range!
This time, we have selected popular and rare models from the high price range of over 5 million yen, which is considered to be the high price range among vintage watches, so please enjoy until the end!
* Selection is based on the following conditions.
・Vintage model: No warranty, parts are inconsistent
・Semi-vintage: Warranty included, parts in good condition
If you are interested in any of the watches, please register your interest in them now.

① 『Explorer』 「Ref.1016」

The Explorer Ref. 1016 is one of the most popular vintage Rolexes .
This is a long-selling model that was manufactured for about 30 years from around 1960 to around 1990, and its simple design has long been loved by Rolex fans. What I would like to recommend this time is the glossy mirror dial. Including the circle mirror and tropicalized ones, the greatest appeal is the worn-out atmosphere that is truly vintage. Since it is a model that is often the last one that enthusiasts who have been through many watch experiences will eventually get their hands on, it will continue to be universally popular and supported in the future. Currently, there are few mirror dials on the market, but it seems that the number is decreasing year by year, so I recommend that you get one early .
② "GMT Master" "Ref.1675"

The GMT Master is synonymous with models equipped with a GMT function, and among the many Rolex models it has gained popularity due to its wide range of colors .
This long-selling model was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1979 , and is the second generation "Ref. 1675" that was the first to feature a crown guard. What we would like to recommend this time is a watch with a mirror dial. The early circle mirror models in particular have many features such as PCG (pointed crown guard), mini hands (GMT hands), 6-dot (exclamation dial), and deep groove bezel. This mirror dial is also very rare, so if you come across one for sale, we recommend that you consider purchasing it as soon as possible.
3. Submariner "Ref.5513"

From the Submariner, the epitome of diver's watches, comes the Ref. 5513, which is also attracting attention as an entry-level model for vintage Rolexes .
This is one of the longest-selling Submariner models, manufactured from around 1963 to around 1990, and the differences in specifications due to minor changes make it a very attractive model. The one we would like to recommend this time is the earliest model with a mirror dial. This dial features rare elements such as an underline and double T<25. There are other early "Ref. 5513" models with circle mirror and PCG (pointed crown guard) specifications, but the production period was short and it will surely become increasingly rare in the future, so it is a watch that you can expect to have asset value.
④ "Sea-Dweller" "Ref. 1665"

The first-generation Sea-Dweller, Ref. 1665, was manufactured from around 1967 to around 1983.
This diver's watch is suitable for saturation diving and was created with the cooperation of the French diving company COMEX. The one we would like to recommend this time is one of the early Red Sea-Dwellers, with a tropical design seen in the MK2 dial. The letters "SEA-DWELLER" and "SUBMARINER 2000" are printed in red, and it is also known as the "DRSD" (Double Red Sea-Dweller). The tropical dial, which has faded from black to brown, and the classic domed crystal glass give it a vintage feel. This is a very rare timepiece, and we are looking forward to seeing its future value as an asset .
⑤ "Daytona" "Ref.6263"

The last model we would like to introduce is the Ref. 6263, the final model and the most popular of all the hand-wound Daytona models.
The "Ref. 6263", manufactured from around 1969 to around 1988, had a plastic bezel and was available in a black dial, a silver dial, and an exotic dial known as the "Paul Newman". The early production units were commonly known as "no markings" because they did not have the "DAYTONA" marking on the dial, and the "DAYTONA" lettering was added a few years later. This time, we would like to recommend the original dial with the large "DAYTONA" markings, commonly known as the "big logo". In recent years, it has become an increasingly popular auction piece, and it seems that there are fewer good ones available each year, so why not consider purchasing one early?
